Thanks! I thought it was next week for us, so I was confused, didnt think I had that much to drink last night that even my phone was telling me the wrong time for te game. Thanks for clearing it up for me.
we have to be mavericks in north america. But I thought that was a US policy push, did they in effect push it on you guys too?
Guess so since we don't change until next week... Never knew it was different but learn something new...
Some provinces/states don't change either. I actually think the invention of time zones was a Canadian invention.
This is about daylight savings not time zones which was some New Zealand dude. Personally, I think it's bass ackwards... but anyways. I'm "not going to lose sleep over it this time" hahaha

Ummm... where did you hear that some New Zealand dude invented time zones?
I'm pretty sure it was a Canadian, it was about train times, and it was on the "A Part of our Heritage" commercial series.
I also know that we are talking about daylight savings, which aren't possible without timezones though.

I'm just trying to show some Canadian pride there man.
Sorry if you don't have pride about your country's history.

If you know anything about Kiwis you'll know that they have more pride than most countries have people.
And for the record, GMT was the first timezone named, back in 167X (can't remember the exact year, but 5 i think). It was done so by the Royal Observatory in the UK.
That's 300 years or so before the Canadian guy (Sanford Flemming if i'm not mistaken) invented Standard Time.
1847 was when the first timezone (GMT) was actually established and used. Again, it was the Brittish who did it, about 20 years before Flemming came up with Standard time.
Now Flemming, who was actually scottish born i believe, but raised in Canada DID invent the idea of a true worldwide clock not set to any particular location, so the idea of worldwide timezones was in fact a Canadian (by scotting birth) invention.
Now Daylight Savings... that's a whole different kettle of fish, and dates back to ancient civilizations, where they quite often used to change their clocks to suit the seasons.
Modern day Daylight Savings however was first proposed by New Zealander, George Vernon Hudson.
To summarise..
Modern day timezones - Canadian invention
Modern day DLS - Kiwi Invention
This, bought to you by a Kiwi, who lives in Australia, born from British parents. LOL

yeah, i know from doing tech support for retail computers in the US states that don't support DLS. Arizona and Indiana i'm pretty sure. I think a 3rd might have voted themselves in recently.
Got nothin' but love for the Kiwi's... Great country, great people. The Aussies were good to us too when we were there.
I like NZ, and am highly debating taking a trip there.
The only catch is the $2000 round trip ticket.
Any idea what the odds of a foreigner being able to snag a job there would be? Hoping to get a work visa and stay for a month or two.
