It happened in soccer now once again in hockey. New 15 year old 6/6 purchase, long-term investment, drops to 5/6 at 16. ..Sigh..
9 of 38 dropped, luckily only a couple young guys.
14/51 dropped, most of which were expected. The only disappointment comes from 4 prospects who dropped to 5/6 at 18, which is still not bad at all.
not complaining about my CL drops either. only three disappointing drops and one of them is no surprise. alos my age 22 CL 5/6 finaly fell to a 4/6 at age 23. Sad day
22 5/6 is the BEST career path. Don't be sad. 23 and hitting 4/6 is a good thing.
I know. He has a phenomimnal career path. To bad his Qs aren't good enough for him to ever break the top 2 lines. Hes been my 3rd center since season 3 I think.
Still... the other guys will slow down faster. My C1 for 7 seasons is no longer in the lineup. He's still my top C by the numbers, BUT, he's at 3/6 and dropping to II.4 allows me to work in younger fresher faces.
Be nicer still if I didn't have so many old guys, my defense in particular is pretty bad with 5/8 starters with longevity of 3/6 or below. With my D prospects all being at least a season away from making my lineup, the defense rating on my team won't improve very quickly this season. At least the development gap for my forwards is much smaller.
Almost all original/early managers are in the same boat. Trust me on that one. The key is to inject some youth but not to the point it costs you a bunch of points. If you keep rolling the same 4 lines all the time, they'll have massive exp and chem, BUT given their age they'll pidder out and let other teams pass.
