I understand that you think its unfair that you feel you will never have a chance to compete in I.1. But how I see it, it doesn't matter to me that those at the top are always going to be there because of the money they make. I feel they earned it. I feel they would not be able to stay at the top if they didn't deserve to be there. I started in I.1 in soccer and I was relegated in season 2 so I know its tough to stay at the top if you don't know how to stay there.
As disheartening as it is to see such a huge disparity, there are two things I take from this:
1) Leggs having won out all possible awards this season deserved huge deals. But, that means now the devs have live data that shows that the feat is possible and the the amount of the rewards may/are skewed. They can and most likely will make changes to compensate like they did for sandbagging recently. That being said, we are heading into the eighth season and the damage has already been done so, short of a reboot, any economic changes are going to take time (in this case a looong time) to flatten out.
2) Every day I come onto this site to check the results of my latest game, to analyze which staff or players I should place on the market, to grin or groan after seeing who sold and who didn't, to watch the development of talent on the practice page, to adjust the training on my staff so they don't continue to rape me of my hard earned cash, and to read the boards and interact with all the friends I've developed over eight seasons of fun.
#2 far outweighs the dread of how #1 will be dealt with.
Have fun, peace out.

Eeeegads, Wheeler used Very High in 1st game!! That explains why my goalie sucked ass!! Love those training campas, Goalie went from 65 end of season to 72!!

Yeah thats what sucks at the start of a New Season. Some teams seem to not change their Tactics when we know the New Season is about to start. Kinda would be nice though that they give us a little more notice that the New Season is about to start. Like a full 24 hours prior to the Season starting. Don't know if this would happen, but it could possibly help.
Heads up in case you all are not a geek like me!! Be very weary playing vl, they changed the engine, I out played team and still almost lost, goalie had 80% save!! which we all know will not get it done in this leauge. Rethink your settings, unless you like suprises.
Some teams do it on purpose, to get high position in standings to theoretically boost attendance all season
eegads, that seems kind of crazy wasting 1.5 points on a regular season game unless you are fighting for last playoff spot.!!
thats just crazy. I can play on Low and still get good attendance. Heck, I played on Normal in my Home Match of the Relegation Matchup I had and still had a Sellout Crowd for being the 15th Place Team.
True, but old habits die hard. It's possible they didn't change their settings, but I know I have heard of others doing it on purpose.
Yeah and I'm not going to argue it, I understand we all have our way of doing things and at times the way we do things may not be the most popular thing when it comes to games like this. So, I just go with it, even if I don't like it. Which for someone like me that has a 15th place team in this league, it is tough when playing against these managers who do their tactics this way, because it sure doesn't help my team get any better then 15th in the League and have to fight just to stay in the League for another season.
On the Note of the New Season starting, I'm happy to win the 1st game of the season with a whole new set of Lines for my team. It was time to look at moving some players through the market and am glad to see that the players were able to find a new team to be with and the Storm can look forward to building for the future with the players it still has.
With this, the Storm has gone from 4 Lines back to 3 Lines to get a feel for who can play on which lines. So, I'm hoping that there is still enough fight in the players the Storm has to stay in this league come the end of this New Season.
Hope all goes well for everyone and welcome to our new teams as well.

Just a word of warning, since we will no longer be able to use Very Low much anymore, that will effect your energy using 3 lines in a big way. Keep an eye on that!!
My goalie, who was on the all star team last season for II.2, made 6 saves on 11 shots. 54% is not going to get it done lol. We out shot them 39-11 and almost lost.
