Probably not by name, but there are certain systems (some 4-5-1) where you in fact have two midfielders on a side at certain times.
Some full-backs will join in the offense or one central midfielder moves out for example. In a game like PPM you can only mimic these kind of position variability. So when you play a five person midfield, why not use one inward bound winger instead of one most likely outward bound CM? Can't see much of a problem if one attacks over the side.
It still can possibly not be very effective, but has it to be penalized? No, I think. Remember, penalization (of the ball possession) should just come into effect for very strange lineups. If two winger where explicitly punished, that would basically force us to exactly one winger on each side.

My no-RD & 3 LDs must have a penalization. That's clear, but still I don't see why that would have to do with the huge difference in possession...
Apart from that, there's still loads of posibilities in lineups that I/we have no clue if they entail a penalization. F.e., playing with 2 LMs. It can be unusual, but as SpikeStranger said, should not get a penal.
2 offensive LMs can be even more strange, but 1 offensive & 1 defensive is very used... So? Where's the limit between unacceptable, weird & unusual, in order to have a penalization? No idea...

For me, very simple, every square in defence and midfield area have to be filled. "Wing squares" can have just one player in it. And you have to play with striker.
OK vlady, let me know, what have you changed???
why i have every second game red card every game 4 yellows????
why?
i dont play agresive, i have usualy higher tech than oponnets and still i receive cards

Speaking of cards:

another thing with what sci fi players did he managed to get more possesion as with current he could not, as i have lost defense player not midfield
and please try to understand following things as from matches we see absolutely different relations:
1. short passes means more possession
2. long passes means inaccurate passes and less possession
-according most matches here is opposite
3. short ball playing and holding up play means team holds ball and keeps it. Its very unlikely that such team will do more fauls and recieve more cards
- according matches here its not like that
4. weaker teams are weaker teams, they can do suprise here and then but not every round like it is now

so our from league statistic:
i have committed 125 fouls in 12 games (10,41 per game)
21 yellow (1,75 per game) 3 red (0,25 per game)
similar statistic has significantly weaker Carlstadt, with 6 games at high and 1 on aggressive
according to this my team worst, with normal games and less fouls i receive more cards
not a single other team in all other first leagues has such statistic

comparing to last season:
42 matches 429 fouls - 10,21 per match
59 yellow cards - 1,40 per match!!!
2 red cards in whole season!!!
same team, same tactic, same formation

Going back to penalizations: Do you think playing with 3 CMD, and no LMD nor RMD should deserve a penal? And what about 2 or 3 CMD, and 1 LMD or RMD? Me, nope...
My team always gets their red cards when they play against far weaker teams, which seems strange.
