Oh, come on. normal/high against low/low at home. Of course that compensates something.
And then 52-48 is not that much more possession. It's pretty equal.
And look at the zones. You had much more possession in the middle with 3 to 2 midfielders. But he out-possessed you on your right side, and rightly so. He should have attacked over this side. And you should have attacked through the middle (and probably your left side), but never over your right side where there was just one player. Strange decision, sorry mate.
And while we're at that, you play no 3-5-2, this is more like a 4-4-2 with the rear 4 on the border of midfield and defense. Take a look at the possession in your and his defensive zones. Why do you play Retain possession and pass with no real strength in your defense?

You are complaining a lot about the engine and you might be right with some things but in this case I think you just made the wrong decisions.

You are right at specific point. Engine favorite 4-4-2 and i have to compensate that. Usual i would play fully 3-5-2 with wingers playing as they should
- in defence they make additional side defenders
- in attack they break defence
but thats impossible here

On other hand i can post at least 30 games right now where 3-5-2 has much stronger players, they played even importance or even higher than 4-4-2 team and still they did not win.

How do you know that 4-4-2 is the favorite of the engine? I would say one would need a very good statistics to prove that.
In german first league there were too matches like this today. One was won by 3-5-2, the other by 4-4-2. What can I make out of it? Nothing in general. It depends on your players, tactics, whatnot.

So you want to play 3-5-2 because you want to have different play and paths for your players in offense and defense? Ok, right, that is not possible here. But I think options are quite good for a free online manager. And if you know it's not possible, why do you insist on choosing your setup like this.
And by the way, who plays like this in RL? Against a kind-of-equal opponent on an away game? Barca? You played with a real lack of defense.

And btw, I didn't say you had bad luck, I said your tactics were imho not good.
