His pro-pack ran out so his log in time to keep the team was shortened from what I can tell, oh well he wasn't overly active anyhow.
How the hell did he beat manville is what I was wondering, manvilles goalie had a 5 rating. ??
Manvilles team fell off a cliff and was replaced by girl tennis players it appears.
The same with J0J0's team.
The II.2 race looks like the limbo dance

I gave serious thought, towards the end of the season, as to whether I wanted to demote on purpose. The way the game is structured seems to encourage it in many ways, but no need to rehash all that.
In the end I decided to try my best to stay up. And then I failed.

The Condors played their first relegation game vs. the inactive Raiders on 'low' with the exact wrong tactic - but they played the 2nd with the correct tactic and on 'normal'. Not sure if they wanted to relegate or if they wanted a 3 game series for more $$$...
They had a goalie with a strength of 5 and lines with strengths of 16 and 17 so I'd say they were trying to save face while still dumping out.
I'll be in I.1 next season, not more low in the PO's for me, but I'm a bit hesitant still, if you look at it teams that purposely bombed out this season are stronger than my team.
To me its a matter of pride and respect to make it to I.1. And to be able to stay is even better.
But its an online game so all that doesn't mean as much to people and if you are a min/maxer, I.1 is not the place to be unless you can be in the top 3 or so.
I'm happy I finally made it up to II. My relegation/promotion opponent played the matches on low.... Well I'll take the win and the challenge!

Exactly, you cant gain OR in the top league, you will lose money and end up falling below most of the top II teams.
I posted about this the first few weeks of season 1 and it's all coming true. It's a massive flaw and needs to be addressed if the game is to continue.

I still am in the same boat as Dark Addiction. Sure the "Best way to return your income" is to dominate in the II... but I don't want to, I want to get to I.1 and fight with the big boys and don't give a fig about what I'm "throwing away" by not doing so.
That's the beauty of games like these, everyone can play it their own way though. If you're worried about finance and OTR, than you can focus on that, and people like Me and Dark can focus on trying to get to I.1 our way.

It's going to be a while for me to challenge the world.
I thought long and hard about promoting and I'm thinking it is best I stick around in 2.2 for at least one more season. My OR is probably the lowest of all current 1.1 teams and without the cash to upgrade my facilities to catch up I would be back in the 2's soon enough, perhaps after one season.
In league 2.2 at least my team is competitive and I can work on my OR. As far as I can tell, only Opivy's team is better than mine. I can work with that. Opivy's team will probably get 33+ wins next season again to top the regular season. After that he'll be ready for 1.1.
So I decided to throw today's match and go for a match #3, which I plan to throw as well. I still have time to think about it so I might wake up tomorrow morning and change my mind and put my real goalie in.
In other news, my 2nd string goalie is now out 18 days.

I agree with you J0J0. The game is broken and you have to do what's best to make your team grow no different than real leagues with the exception that when you promote to real leagues your TV money etc goes up to compensate enough for not being in a lower league.
