I myself am going through a minor rebuild. It may eventually turn into a major one, but I did get rid of my starting goalie.
got a camp going tuj - don't have enough guys left for 4 lines.
you're still the only one who's lineup gets better during camps

divoch folded his CONDORS!??! What the hell. His soccer team is still alive. Are you sticking with that, divoch?
Isn't that awesome
I wish I could sell some of those guys, but the damn market fees would kill my profits. So I have to wait a while. I think I'll be able to sell my last two 1000 OR guys and a handful of train & sells after the first round of the playoffs.
Maybe I should have held onto those guys. With divoch and Bizzy folding their teams, I probably could have made the playoffs next season with a few tweaks to the roster. I mean, I must have been doing something right. Despite playing the last 13 games with a severely handicapped team, I still have the 12th best offense.

Okay. I'm definitely dropping down to II next season. My current team as is looks like it might be able to fight for a playoff spot. Of course, I will be adding some more 15yos next season, so the playoffs are a long shot.
Would you fight to hang on in II for a season or II, or would you just drop down to III right away and build up from there?

Considering all the changes going in next season, I'd stay in II (if possible
). If I understand it correctly, your starting league level would be set at II, so you won't get a promotion bonus going from III back up to II.
You also might not earn much OTR in III, depending on how they recalculate it.

You don't get a promotion bonus at all? I thought they just eliminated the end of season OTR loss discount. Instead of losing 15% when promoting, you lose 30% like everyone else. Wrong?
I would imagine you still get the money since that's never been changed, just not the reduced OTR loss. Sorry for not being clear.
In all reality though, the money for promoting back up to II would probably be on the order of the amount you lose by having a smaller sponsor offer in the III league.

I'm sure I could survive II for a few seasons before the team is really ready to compete, but that leaves me in the same situation I'm in up here. And I don't think there's a worse spot to be in than finishing 10th-12th a bunch of seasons in a row.
So I'm leaning towards having that one season in III. Go down there while the team sucks. Gain some decent OTR. Come back to II in season 14. Make the playoffs in season 15. Promote in 17. I think that's doable, and I'd have a much better team.

It's really tough to say what would be best - there's so many variables and unknowns with how the new economy changes will work out.
Yet another wrinkle is that your players will earn more experience in II then III. How much? No idea

I would hope that the drop all the way to III would cripple a team, you'd basically have a HUGE stadium with 10 people showing up, 0 income but all the costs still associated. II should be the lowest you could fall and afford it.
Speaking of the game economy as it is today however, I think the drop to III would be the most gratifying for the team, the story and the financials.

Heck no. The opposing team's fans would flock to see such a glorious stadium in their lowly league

Yeah I noticed the same thing with condors and sea sides but I did not notice Notso. Even though they havent been on for almost a month, they have only managed to lose 5 games total between league and friendlies!
At least divoch kept his soccer team going. Losing jdevils and BizzyBozzy hurts both sports as well as the forums. They were top 25 posters and top 10 teams in both. That sucks.
Big game for the Atomics today. I'm using a full lineup of kids for the first time. I can't wait to see the OTS
