y'know, this has me thinking. I was feeling an obligation to stick around to compete in the CwC to represent the USA as best I'm able. The thing is, that's folly since I don't see myself getting to the playoffs there, again. So why bother.
I too am quite fed up with the game. I've been holding out hope they would find a way to balance some things and fix others. They just aren't invested in doing this.
Despite my griefs with the game I really have had fun. I've found enjoyment in building up this team and repeatedly banging my head against the wall. I've enjoyed competing against some fun and classy people here. I enjoyed helping a lot of people, most of whom say the light and had sense to quit before I did. To those who remain I wish them the best.
The addiction is strong so I'm also going to commit team suicide to make sure the urge to return doesn't take hold. I'm going to put my best players on the market too. I know I'll have to pop in next week to see how much they sold for!!
Enjoy your time and take care.

Wow this is big news, and sad news as well. Sorry to see you go my friend.
Best of luck!

Anyway there is no way they can balance the things out without creating the money advantage features. Like pay 10 dollars and you can increase the OR of a player by 30 or something like that. Than again if they do that, money bags will rule in this game. Unfortunately that how those online game works. Either you spend big money or you have to register from day 1, to succeed in something.
No we cannot lose "Titty Cat" as well. Gesh all my in game rivials are leaving. Next your going to tell me Leggy quiting next. Cause he tired of always winning so he's goinng to throw in the towel on this game. (I sure that won't happen) Best of luck to you Vowels!
Wow, I hope I didn't convince you to throw in the towel Eeoulo. Obviously I can't say I blame you. I too have thought about quitting for a while now but kept coming back right before the game officially deleted my team. Thats why I put all my players on the market as well. I figured that would assure me from coming back just to scream at my computer. The difference is, I am only top 10-12 team in the country. You my friend are a top 5, possibly top 3. Maybe I will see around in some other game. Good luck to you buddy.
Sad news once again. Good luck guys, wish I could say we have'nt been here before or soon to be again.....sigh!
Bright side, I make playoffs, dark side, league avg OR goes way down and two of the brightest voices on the forums disappear. Bummer but I think that when my PP runs out I'll be joining you guys as well.
Wow not sure I get where all of this quitting is coming from.
If you are fed up with the fact that the amount of time you are putting into the game isn't being matched by the outcome, just put less time in.
The past two years I have been away at school, and many time commitments meant I had much less time to devote to powerplay (and other similar games).
As a result, I often quickly log in for just a couple of minutes to check game results/forums/training. I really don't devote that must time or effort to the game, but have still been able to develop a strong team and stadium, which I find to be enjoyable. I also have never spent so much as a dime on any of these games.
Maybe the problem is diminishing returns in terms of time spent on the game. After the first amount of time needed to set up and maintain a team, long hours spent laboring over the game wont really enrich the experience that much, and this disparity between effort in and result out is what is causing so many top players discontentment.
Maybe just take a deep breath, relax a little, and spend a little less time and mental effort stressing over your team.

It's more that I have paid, and I've talked with people, and we've dissected all the problems and 0 effort has been made to discuss it with us. Vlady comes in, shushes everyone and we go about our business. There may be some more clarity in their home forums where the game really thrives but from an international perspective they've just left us in the dark. I've never spent as much money on any game ever in my life and I had hoped to glean a bit more from it other than a sticker on my profile but it's not materialized and it's time to move on as a paying customer. I don't know that I'll kill my team but I most certainly won't be as involved.
Thanks for the kind words and thoughts y'all. At some level the game has been a part of my life the last few years and you, the community are a good part of that.
Ya flyers, you did have a big part of the decision. I've been wanting to quit for a few seasons and almost did many times. Having you go, and my recent comments of continued frustration and almost encouragement to get out made me feel hypocritical to stay. It really is the time for me.
opivy, as usual you nailed it on the head. That's one area of ongoing frustration for me too. It's just a shame these guys who run this game care more about the cash and also making certain countries perform well than about creating an endearing international gaming environment. This game was always on the cusp of really being something cool, but yet always quite far from it. I hope to keep seeing you over in Footstar at least
I have to check back in to see how the sale of these players goes. I can't help but feel invested in these little pixelated things and curious to see how the value shakes out. I wish I could take the cash received and divide it out among the US teams to help, but I can't.
