Looks like I got a pass to play a season up here, by playing the no-gm Yetis in the promotion round. Should be interesting. Also get to play against my old mentor Eeoulo.
It'll be great having you up here bro. You weren't kidding when you said you were a gamer! You've built up your team well!!
So I got a 5* offer for a general sponsor and media sponsor. Problem is it is for 3.4 million and 1 million less, respectively than my 4* offers from last year.
What gives? Doesn't being in higher leagues give you better offers? Should I accept these?

if you finish lower in the standing but in a higher league you are likely to get less than finishing higher but in a lower league. Its why people keep demoting on purpose.
Yep. I "promoted" and got 1 million less per week with a higher OTR than the season before. Not really sure how that works out. I at least got a much larger stadium and picked up some money on the stadium but competing in I.1 with less money isn't going to make much sense. Just get slowly chewed up and spit back into II
I promoted and got a 30% higher gen offer than this past season with the same rated managers.
This season I have been running negative in $ almost all season long becuase my last sponsors gave me alot less per week. Almost $4mill less a week than I did the previous season. I have finished in the same exact spot the last 3-4 seasons. I finished building a triple floor this season so I was hoping to get offered more money this time time around. But instead I am being offered $2mill less a week than I already was. I do not think I am going to survive this season without demolishing some facilities or seats. This is absolute bullsh!t. How can they expect you to compete if you make less and less $ every season and can't afford anything. I'm sure somewhere half-way through the season I will probably end up deleting my account.
Same here. Although not as bad. I expected a decent bump in my offer (10.5M per week), but the ** was only for 100K more than last season's ****. So I might make a million more if I get a better offer. That's pretty much insignificant considering the teams we'll be going against.
My Marketing effieicany is 90%. Although I really need to improve on my level 11 HR.

Unfortunately, you can't afford to be a middle of the road team in this game. Especially not for 3-4 seasons. Playoffs or relegation is the way to go. Middle of the road is death. Everyone rips on opivy for the way he sandbagged, but he's right. That's what you need to do to have a chance at remaining competitive in a higher league.
so to be competitive in a higher league you have to remain in a lower league? When is it best for one to decide to step up and compete? Surely an end game of just staying in a lower league can't be the goal.
btw, I understand the financials he, and others, go through regarding promoting or relegating.

ouch junky! That's what I saw happening to my team a few seasons ago. Total revenues weren't higher than expenses. I took the plunge and sold some players to finance arena upgrades to increase revenue. It hurt for a while but has paid off to keep liquidity.
My managers are all at 100 marketing the same as last year. I had an HR increase this season as well. Not really sure how the offers ended up lower.
Of course not. Eventually your team will be good enough to compete in the playoffs. That's when you promote. There's too much tied into OTR to promote before then. I'm basically throwing away a season by promoting. I already know the best I can hope for is best relegater (Obryantj's team is very similar/slightly better). This is a wasted season for me.
I know that when I go back down, I'll get another crappy sponsor deal. Had I stayed in II.1 until I was ready to compete for a playoff spot, then I would be making more money, and probably having more fun winning most of my games. I'm hoping my team will be ready by season 12, but that's probably too optimistic. I'll come back up that season either way.
