Wowzers - big win today vs the Czech Republic. That improves our record to 3-0-1 and places us on top of Group 6 at the half-way point. Impressive!
I made some roster changes with Moodie hurt so Dion ended up playing the whole game. I also sat out Malcolm, Duchesne, and Stewart. Trying to conserve some energy for the next round. Also noticed that Andrews and Small were in training camps so I wanted to maximize their extra training bonus for the long term good of the team so they got the starts.
Today's Stars:
Thomas Small led the team with 7/13 shooting.
Whitney Carlson with a sv% of 40%
Ty Clipperton shooting 3/4on FBs and 2 BS
Disappointments:
No one

Congratulations to you with a good start!
But now I see thet your top players have a low energy..92,93,(94) and remaining four games, if you want a good world Championship you need gives the rest the best players
All Latvian players have energy from 96 to 100, but top players 97 and 98.
This is only the advice, because I like Canada as a country.
Good luck!

Another solid win today over Belgium 37-25. That should almost qualify us for the next stage - one more point should ensure it.
Today's Win vs Greece 31-26 assures us of advancing out of the World Cup Qualifiers. Peter Millar and Teddy Boudreau had their debut for the team as we looked to save energy for some of our starters. Also used Waylon Adnrews, Thomas Small, and Whitney Carlson in their second match of the Qualifiers.
Our final two games are vs the Czechs and Latvia. No real need to win them other than pride and world ranking points

Interesting Note - Today's win put us in 16th place overall in the World Rankings (based on S4-S7). It also put us in 7th overall for S7.
Not bad for a country that doesn't play the sport!
Hold on there, we do play Handball. It's just played at recess by 12 year old boys who throw a tennis ball at the wall and try to catch it when it bounces back.
There are small pockets of team handball played in the country. I was on my high school team in the 80's.
Big wins vs Finland and Bosnia in the World Championship Finals. A point against Latvia or Spain will guarantee us a playoff spot in the Final 16.
Lost to Spain but we beat #3 World Ranked Latvia to lock up third place in our group with a 3-0-2 record. Bit unlucky to draw #2 ranked Hungary in our first playoff match-up tomorrow. We're going to need Lady Luck on our side to survive this one
