Yes - it's fine if you just skip the lower players on the list if you can't get to them in 24 days.
Since there are no good teams that are about to fold before the season ends, I've given the final 2 roster spots to two 18 year old players that might be of the most interest for the U20 team out of the 18 year olds not currently on the team: Bryan Peterson and Donny Kincaid.
Thanks! Good luck against Russia and the Netherlands. I'm sure you'll end up doing well in the tournament anyway.
The United States somehow managed to beat the Czech Republic today 2-0 despite being outshot 37-23. The random number generator decided to give Coker a shutout. Neely, the star player for the United States, managed to score 2 goals. I burned a lot of energy today, but it looks like it turned out to be worth it. I also got lucky on tactics.
Russia beat the Netherlands 5-1. Tomorrow, the United States plays Russia, and the Czech Republic plays the Netherlands.
It is impossible for both the Netherlands and the Czech Republic to get 5 points, so any win tomorrow against Russia would clinch the next round. It is highly unlikely that the Czech Republic will also lose to the Netherlands, so an overtime loss could also be enough. Even with a loss, it is most likely that the United States would go into day three with a 3 point lead. As long as the Netherlands loses tomorrow and the United States doesn't give up too many goals, the United States (which currently holds a 6 GD advantage against the Netherlands) would probably be able to advance on a tiebreaker.
Since the Czech Republic will not likely go into the relegation round, today's win should count towards the next round if the United States can advance. With a win against Russia, the United States would have a great chance to make the third round if both Russia and the Czech Republic advance to the second round. Even without a win tomorrow, the United States would have a fighting chance.

The United States earned another upset today against Russia. The score was 2-0. Russia outshot the United States 41-25, but Coker remained perfect and earned another shutout. Ronald Jacobson scored the game winner and Cedric Cornwell added a power play goal.
The Czech Republic beat the Netherlands 1-0.
With this win, the United States has officially clinch a spot in the qualifying round and avoided the relegation round with one game left in the preliminary round.
Tomorrow's game is still important. The United States needs to earn at least one point so both of the first two wins will definitely count towards the next round. If the United States can go into the next round with 6 points, then it will have a very good chance of making the playoffs. 6 points is often enough to make the playoffs from the qualifying round.
Both Serbia and Sweden (the two countries that I got scouting information for) have clinched the next round and will play the United States at some point in the next 4 days after tomorrow's game against the Netherlands. The winner of the game between Serbia and Sweden will have 6 points, the loser will have 3 points, and the winner of Slovakia and the United Kingdom will start with 0 points in the next round. The winner of Russia and the Czech Republic will start the next round with 3 points and either the loser will start with 0 points or the Netherlands will start with 3 points (the United States will start with 6 in the first case and 3 in the second place).

Lol great saves your GK!
Crazy, but is a game! Good train, tactics and job again!
Our game 1:0 is ...I do not know
Better players, better tactics and all is better and 1:0?

Congratulations on the win, even if it was closer than it should be.
It has been surprising to see the United States goalie earn 2 shutouts against 2 good teams while making 78 saves.
This tournament has had a lot of upsets overall. It is possible that the top 4 ranked u18 teams could end up in the relegation round (though it isn't too likely).

The United States lost today 2-4 in a game that didn't matter against the Netherlands.
Since the United States had already clinched the next round, I decided to rest the team against the Netherlands. The Netherlands was supposed to be the key team to beat, but the United States was lucky enough to earn two upsets before today's game. Based on the scouting information for the Netherlands, I thought it wasn't impossible to win while resting, or at least to keep the game relatively close. I played the 5th line instead of the first line, played 4 lines, gave the most minutes to the fifth and fourth lines, and started the backup (it was good to confirm that the backup isn't too far back from the starter in case he needs to play at some point).
By resting the team, the United States should have gained some ground on the other teams in terms of team strength. In the worst case scenario, the Netherlands could have avoided relegation, causing the United States to start the next round with 3 points instead of 6 points (the United States will start the next round with 6 points). In this case though, one of the favorites to win the tournament (Russia and the Czech Republic have the highest team strength in the tournament) would have been eliminated, and the United States would start the next round in better shape.
Luckily, the United States ended up tied for first in the next round in addition to saving energy. Looking at past tournaments, 6 points is often enough to clinch the playoffs, and only one team has missed the playoffs after getting 7 points in the U18 World Championships. This means that even getting 1 out of 9 points in the next 3 games will probably be enough to make the playoffs, and based on the scouting information I've received, the United States has a fair chance to win any of its next 3 games.
Some bad news. Neely, the best player from the United States, will be injured for the rest of the tournament. It's still possible for the United States to do well because of its strong start, but Neely is a major loss.
Congratulations to the senior team on clinching the playoffs! Only one of Bulgaria and Belgium can catch up. If the United Kingdom catches up, then Italy will have a worse record than the United States.
Good luck to the the U20 team moving forward as well!

Can someone else cover these players since Mattssupersteelers will be unavailable to scout? The links are on page 60. The list of players is under the above reaction.
I already have the first one done which I will send to you. I will have the second player done tomorrow. But I would like if someone could take them. Sorry and Thanks.
