Subject: USA U-18 Team

Okay thanks. If you need help with a few extra players just let me know.

I may need some help to get the Czech Republic team. I have the goalies and the top two lines or so but I am worried I won't be able to get the bottom of the line players and I think it could bite us in the butt if we cannot get those guys. Do you think you can help?

I would also like to mention something that I have been thinking about. Capsaicin has suggested that I could run for the NT manager of the Senior USA team. While I am sure I could do a decent job I am not built up enough to do proper scouting. If I were to run and win I would like to know who would volunteer and help me out with scouting?

As far as scouting, I have all the players under 26 (including all of the players that didn't make the team yet but could be of interest) scouted, and Cory Martin at least has the team scouted, probably a lot more.

In any case, there might be an opportunity based on what Cory Martin had to say in the presentation for the last election, and there were not many people interested in the assistant position on the senior team for this season. With that said, you'll have to ask Cory Martin about what he has actually decided to do since then and what he is looking for in a replacement.

I could help with that. Like Cap said, I have the entire team scouted and then some. I'm admittedly not as organized about it as he is, but that's a personality flaw. I probably have nearly as many US players who have graduated the U20 team scouted as he does, if not the same amount. Besides, I've got nothing but space in my scouting queue if needed.

Additionally, recognizing that a less experienced manager could potentially win, I'd be willing to be the assistant if that person felt they needed a manager with a little more experience to bounce ideas off of while they settled in.

If that is the case then I think I will run for the National Manager spot. I would like Cory if you could please remain on as a assistant for a season to help ease me into the spot. I know that your past experience knowledge of the National team would really help me because of the fact that you have built the roster and know how the other teams in the division play. I would like to organize a scouting corps with a head scouter and a few others who can be scouts. It would be unofficial but a great way to recognize the follow support that I am getting. I will apply tonight and see what happens.

I would ask to be head scouter but I don't think I have my HR up enough. But I would gladly take a assistant scouter. scouter. Unless you mean the head scouter is kind of like organizer. But anyway, I want to be part of that scouting corps.

So Capsaicin how many votes do you think it will take for me to win the election for the senior national team? because right now no one is voting so I am losing.

Preferential votes only matter if there are more than 10 candidates. Perhaps people might look at them as a guide in the second round (or perhaps not), but votes in the second round are most important.

Okay I forgot there is two rounds to this. but based on who is running do you think I will need a lot of votes to win in second round or will three be enough?

People tend not to vote as much in the first round, especially this early in the season. People will slowly start to vote more as time passes.

With that said, I definitely wouldn't suggest actively sending messages to people to vote (which some people have done) - I think that tends to have more of a negative effect. I would suggest starting to think about what you would like to do as a NT manager and to talk about that in the senior forum after you've figured it out.
