Quick question: if you roll 3 lines, do players on the 4th line gain any experience?
I would like to consolidate my roster for next season, and if I can get some of my key prospects some experience in a real game without it hurting my team, thats a good thing.

No. If you play 4-3-3 based on periods... then they'll gain 1/3 exp and chem if they had played all game. So the more you play, the faster EXP and CHEM is gained.
Gotcha. I effectively have two rosters, a prospects roster and a game roster. Right now I'm just trying to get my prospects as many friendly games as possible until they are ready to contribute to the big team. What is the rate at which players gain EXP and CHEM in friendly games?
In hockey:
Chem in Friendly = Chem in League (1pt/day if they play all game)
EXP = ? But Exp growth is higher in bigger games so friendly exp growth would be low.
Now soccer is a whole different story for chem...

I was having a look at the $ aspect of the game. And $400 seems expensive for a ticket. However, in Slovakian currency, 400 is like $17 USD. If we convert say ~5mil PPM$ that it takes to build a stand in an arena/stadium that's more like $220k USD. Suddenly costs don't seem so extravagant. The 3,000 PPM$ players make a day is more like $130 USD (or a yearly salary of 47k). It would be nice to be able to select your currency, however I can see that causing problems with the market and the whole financial setup of the game. Thoughts?
If it was programmed that the game used a set currency and then all the displays were just conversions then it wouldnt affect it at all.
However, i dont think they have separated display from business rules in their code given the answers to other questions that have been posed so i doubt this will be easy to implement.

I get that the best day to have players available on the market is probably wednesday when most people have new money to burn, but what time of day is most likely to attract the most potential buyers? Anyone put any thought into this before?
I think it's best around game time. Either before or after, not during. That seems to be when most people are online. And it gives you a good mix of Euros and N.Americans.
Just watch the little online counter in the top right, and sell when there's a lot of people online.

Here's the thing. Yes people have the most money, but the most people are buying. So unless you're selling something attractive, the market is so inflated you may not actually get much more.
I may have miss something down the road... but there is no all-star team anymore for hockey right?
Sure is. Just takes awhile to be calculated.
I did a calc awhile back. Data is a little old but I can email it to you.
Is there any real disadvantage to "throwing" a game?
My last three games are against the top three teams in my league. I think I have a pretty small chance of beating them - I might win one or two if I play on high, hit on tactics, and have some luck on my side.
If I lose all three (and the team beneath me wins 2 of 3), the worst that can happen is I move down one spot to 6th. I cannot move up any spots even if I win all three.
If I get lit up by any of these teams, my goaltender risks losing his top ranking in the league. My guys will get tired playing on High before the playoffs.
Should I ice my rookies and backups instead of my key players?

I should add that the player in the spot beneath me as one "gimme" game and the other two against top 3 teams so its not super likely he will overtake me.
