I look forward better financial strategies too. It's fun making money, but when everyone makes more (higher division) or the same (same division) the big picture is hard to grasp. I was having fun the first season, but I find that I come here less often since I make a lot of cash, build everything I can, rinse and repeat every week until I can finish first in my division, where I'll repeat the process since I'll be too weak in my new. If money meant something and we had to make difficult decisions either short or long terms, it would be even better.
Keep in mind that eventually people's facilities will cap out, unless the devs expand them out. Arenas have a finite amount of seats.
Within the next 4 seasons, the I/II divisions are going to be extremely top-heavy with a lot of promotions/relegations happening.
No one will be safe!

That's what I'm planning for. Financially efficient is the way to go. Slowly trimming the fat. Making money by saving money. The crunch for me is pretty much now.
Not me. I have spent all my money already.... It's sitting in limbo waiting on player transactions a few days away! ahahaha. Financial idiocy is the goal for me this season!

In that case:
Gryphons announce new players on the market!!!!
Haha jokes.

Is there any desire to change OT wins to 3 points? Seems kinda dumb to me. Same with ties in league games.
No, OTW at 2 points makes more sense, because then only 3 points are given out a game. I would like to just see games go to the shootout instead of ties and then all games are 3 point games, having ties be 2 point games while everything else is 3 point games is annoying to me.
so, what's going to happen after managers start maxing out the facilities? i sense an inflation..
Costs will balance revenues. It takes a lot of money and a lot of time to build top-flight facilities.
I know that I'm a couple of days late on the OTR gain talk, but it seems to me that it should be doled out on a sliding scale determined by difference in existing OTR between opponents. So a winner that has significantly more than their opponent, will get less, and a winner with significantly less will get more.
In the end, this will inspire teams to promote, to chase down higher OTR teams for the bonus, and high OTR teams will want to remain in leagues together to ensure that they play similarly competitive teams (as the best OTR boost for top teams will be playing teams with identical OTR), while teams that try to remain in lower divisions will face an increasing OTR gain deficit that ultimately will drive them to move up.
Overall, this sort of system should increase competition throughout the system.

I agree. I thought that was how the system worked.
Some teams are so much ahead of others, if those team are given even more bonuses a new person joining ppm would take years to even come close to what they are. Look at all the major sports in NA minus baseball. Parity is what they have and its working for them. I joined at the end of season 2 and fell as if I was placed 5 season behind someone who had started in season one. And a team joining in season 6 must feel alot worse compared what I feel
I am joing again. I don't feel pressure! I can't win my league for at least 3 years by my estimation. But, thats not what the game is all about. I just like winning some games and getting better each year. And correct me if I am wrong but, won't it eventually reach the max so, every team has about roughly the same team and will have to pick to rebuild or what player they spend there money on/
Actually, they should make it so that reaching Division 1 is what is all about. Make it a 30 teams league and push competition to the max. Even cap the facilities you can build in lower division so that your main purpose and goal is to find a way to graduate. Even cap player OR in a long shot. And last, punish relegation with a monetary loss each week (by a % in regards to team OTR and average division OTR).
Right now, the only concern I have is that division are too unbalanced. You have weak teams with overpowered teams which make competition boring and that's probably why people play a bit, then leave after losing 4-5 games 13 to 1.
