Ya it should use more running 3. I've noticed it does. Try it in a league game... I can compare as I always roll 4.
I run four lines because my 4th line is better than my 3rd. The effect is greater depth; more players have high chemistry and experience. It also means that my top 3 liners train faster.
OK I did some light reading. So it appears to be practically the same three or four lines. Except that they do train less in these days, and have a poorer performance in the end of the game. So come the third period they might not play as well as they should.
I'm trying to make an excel sheet that will project when my third string goalie will end up being good enough to be my starter, and just trying to figure out how to average how much each of the three attributes will improve each day. It's simple to project the OR, just trying to figure out what equation I should use to project Goal, Tech, Pass accurately. Has anyone done this? I will end up figuring it out but I'm in class and probably should be paying more attention to the prof than working on PPM
Haha class is the perfect opportunity
. I've done lots like this. It all depends on your ratios you want, their Qs and what you weight chem and experience.

Was typing out just now what I want more specifically and figured out a way to do it in my head haha. But I'm kind of just ignoring chem and experience right now, probably won't start him until he is 10-15 higher in his primary than my current starter. I'm also training him at 4:3:2 instead of my starter at 2:1:1 since both his secondaries are at 99% quality.
Nice! What is his primary? I've got two solid goalies and a third with the Qs to make him a stud. He's at 120-90-90 right now and will train 2:1:1 until he reaches that of the top 2 then I'll transition him to 4:3:2 as I do will all my prospects.
His primary is 65, but his secondaries still make him better than my other 2 goalies, he's at 90-45-65 right now, which is still definitely my third string, but my starter has really started to train poorly this year with his C/L drop, and Massett should pass him by the end of the season.
You're talking about the EQ of a player. There are threads discussing this already, check the US Q and A i think.
