Since this is a Q&A thread... we all know what the next question from 11 year old Johnny will ask...
Does energy used differ depending on 3 or 4 lines used?
With 3 lines, players were 85/100 (or 84/99) and with 4 lines it appears to be the same.
Why?

It might be the same but it degrades the overall number quicker using 3 lines. So it will drop from 100 overall down quicker.
I'm pretty sure it is more when you use 3 lines. The seasonal energy will remain the same whether you use 3 or 4 lines... however the daily loss will differ.
Something like:
3 Lines = 85/100
4 Lines = 88/100
These values are just examples and not necessarily the exact values. Since 3 lines uses more daily energy, their training should suffer slightly as well compared to 4 lines players.
(PS. Not sure if it impacts friendlies as much, I'm pretty sure league play is the most impacted.)

In my friendlies both ended 85/100 using 3 or 4 lines didn't seem to matter.
I think that using 3 lines should degrade both faster.
P.S. You and Aowyr gave contradicting statements.

Ya. It certainly doesn't degrade seasonal faster. Seasonal decrease is always the same it is only a function of importance. Test it in a friendly. I've used "pull 4th line" feature on occasion and noticed energy difference in league games.
Well, I played seasons with 3 lines and it would use 15 energy. I just started rotating in my 4th line on friendlies, and it still uses 15 energy.
If both 3 and 4 lines use the same energy, why would you ever run 4 lines?
I noticed that when my goalie got changed he only used 11 energy.
