Good game today Elpatzer.
I'm a little confused as to why Duncan was swapped out after the 2nd period.
I'm more confused as to how/why Luc McRorie was selected as 3rd star over, say, Derek Deshane.

Good game. Tactics gaff on the Duncan pull but I don't think it would have really mattered.
Would have to have scored for it to have mattered. Still thought it was curious when I saw the box-score.
How about that Luc McRorie selection? With no points, 3 shots, minus 2 he earns a star over a player one goal, one assist (SH), and a plus 2 rating with 5 SOG.

Well done Elpatzer. Congrats on advancing to the finals.
The top-heavy talent on your team completely overwhelmed my more balanced Pigs. Ambridge got completely dissed in the three star selection. Cocievski did not deserve the accolade after allowing the team to go down 2-0 in the first 1:20 of the game.

Thanks. I'm a little stunned actually.
Going down early hurt but Cocievski played well. He held the team in and gave them a chance. Ambridge didn't face a lot of tough shots until the third period.

Pigs were napping through the first two periods. The shot totals are totally inexplicable.
My rope-a-dope strategy didn't work. I figured you were the favourite at home in game 2 and that you'd come out guns blazing. I was right and wanted to burn you out to give me a better shot in game 3. A mistake, in hindsight.

This League ain't big enough for two Hamilton teams. all im saying. haha good luck screaming weasels, i think two teams get a chance to promote no? correct me if im wrong.
That was an awesome game. Congrats on game One!
And you are correct. 1st gets an automatic promotion. 2nd gets a chance to play for promotion.

congratulations to the Hamilton Hawks and there manager x7t for his victory in the playoffs final game.
Ditto ... congrats to the Hawks. I'm not sure how game three ended up so lopsided.
Good luck to the Hawks in rung I. I would love to see more teams from II.3 be competitive up there.

Well, you played your third and fourth lines more than your first and second and the latter are much stronger than the former. You were also on normal intensity vs very high throughout the game and Hamilton was at home.
Seems to me like Hamilton wanted it more.
Good for them, and I wish them the best of luck in I.1. Hopefully they'll fare better than the last II.3 teams to make the leap.
This was discussed on the suggestion forum, but it seems more reasonable for us to promote to II.2 or II.1 instead of I.1 and to shrink the number of teams that are promoting to that over-powering conference.

I'll have to go check out the suggestion forum. Honestly, I've ALWAYS wondered why they don't mix up the relegation system. It would be such a simple task to simply reverse where the teams relegate to every second year and that would obviously help balance the leagues.
Theoretically the better teams relegate to the lower leagues balancing out the branches.
Really? I thought it was exactly the opposite of that. I thought that the strong teams go from I.1 to II.1 and the weakest teams go to II.4.
