The Patches squeaked by the Flying Piggies in their placement series. In the series, they relied only on the offense of their Kenyans! Kariuki scored the lone goal in a 1st game 1-0 final and he and countryman Barsosio scored in the third period of the 2nd game to take it 2-1. See you next season Piggies! Maybe I should get some more Kenyans?

It has been a banner year for the Patches. We managed to finish 9th in the regular season which is a franchise best. We finished 9th in the playoff placement which is a franchise best.

All this during a season with cut staff in order to balance the book and build on the stadium. Our biggest accomplishment will have been the seating - tripling the number to 7000 seats all of which were sold out in the final series against the Machine - with another 1000 seats to come in the next few days. This development should provide a significant media sponsor value enhancement. A world class development academy was also completed for the team!

Congrats on the Machine for taking it to the wire in the 9th-10th place super-exciting series. After having dropped the first game, the next two in the series went to a shootout and overtime respectively.

Nicely done! I look forward to coming to your rink next season and showing the fans a real slaughter... of my guys not yours XD

Well... that wasn't supposed to happen. Granted, I did have my tactics setup incorrectly.

Work harder at losing!

I don't want my sponsors to punish me! I'm going to see if I can't employ a loop-hole in the system. Granted, I've fixed my tactics (no longer playing my best line 45% of the time) and will be on the road. That should be enough. If I get the warning from sponsors after tomorrow's game I know it isn't a loop-hole XD

Sneaky work-around to be able to play very low importance (when energy saving is pointless) and to play your lines in an inverse proportion to their abilities. The OTS doesn't drop, but you're still throwing the game.

Did you also play your pluggers on special teams?

No. Tactics doesn't impact OTS. "The Mokri Trick" as someone has coined it was the real kicker. OTS is an average over the game. Playing a crap goalie at the end dropped by goalie strength and thus my OTS but not by enough to warrant a warning from sponsors. I feel shady and immoral but I would be destroyed in I.1 next year as my team will be mostly U18 guys.
