Dinomites kicked some pretty serious ass. They look like the team to beat.
Maybe. There is some good teams in this division though. But as season goes, the best teams should come on top, espescially when average teams play VH so early on in the season.
It's a pretty strong division this season. I think there will be very interesting races for the playoffs and for positioning in the playoffs.
The top tier are the 180+ OTS teams. That's Dino and RCR. RCR is supposedly going to sell off some talent and may wind up lower though. Most likely, these are the 1-2 seeds at season's end. Doubtful that they fall out of the top 4. First round home-ice is almost guaranteed already.
Then there is the second tier of the 140+ teams. There you've got Fleur de Lys, Infidels, Flames, Stimulators, and my Raging Pigs. No one currently over 154.
Barring some changes, these teams are all favourited to be playoff bound. No clear favourite to get home ice. I'm giving it to my Pigs who are about to get some reinforcements and who have a nice track record in II.3.
Then you've got a handful of teams that will challenge for the lower playoff seeds. The favourites are Badass Machine, Metro, Hammers, Georgian Bay, Maple Leafs, Patches, and Kicesie, who all range between 119 and 128 OTS currently and can certainly compete against the 2nd tier.
The remaining teams are a little luck or one or two big moves away from competing for the playoffs too. The lowest OTS is 105, which is not a team to take lightly on any given day.

Oh and for the last home ice spot, I'm picking Fleur De Lys. They just found ways to win last season and keep improving.
I think this is a pretty good assessment of the teams in this league and what the standing will look like at the end of the season. I was lucky to get the 8th and last playoffs position last season but I am realistic for this season and wish to finish in the top 12.
I'll be mid 160s after I unload 4 more guys (UW, UD, RD, G).
Nice summary. Do hope I can hang with the group you put me with.
That still ranks you as a top 2 team; lowest 3rd, if my boost on Friday is that significant. You'll finish in the top 4 for sure, if not first or second.
Boost on Friday?
I'm happy playing 2 rounds of playoffs in the next year or two. Besides, this is the most active a league forum of mine has been in since I can remember! I ain't goin' anywhere!

Nice summary. Pretty helpful for the newcomer I am. I'm around 180 OTS, but I don't plan to add any new player. Things can change fast if a team start to add some good players. They could make trouble once in the playoff rounds.
