It was closer than 7-2. Your goalie had a bad night. Having looked at the lineup and tactical choice I would have expected a 1-2 goal difference MAX.

Ridiculous finish in game two against the Weasels. Pigs scored with just 12 seconds left in the third to win 5-4.

Added Oldřich Melecký to the squad tonight but I doubt he'll feature in the finals. He becomes my brightest prospect as he'll break 1,000 OR before he turns 18.

RCR dominate from opening puck drop as reflected by the shot count, yet the 3-0 lead has been cut to 3-2 early in the second.

Update 1: Pigs tie the game on the PP. 3-3 mid-way through the game.

Update 2: Still tied at 3 early in the third. RCR miss a chance to take the lead on the PP, surrendering a short-handed chance.

Update 3: Pigs score late on back-to-back plays (56:41, 57:07) to take a commanding 5-3 lead despite being dramatically outshot 40-18 at this point. Glum day in RCR land. Time to figure it out tomorrow.

Postgame: Turns out dropping from VH to H for the 2nd and 3rd is what did me in. *THAT* is not going to happen again.

RCR management immediately into a closed-door meeting post-game. Lineup changes imminent. Coaching partly to blame for today's blown 3-goal lead.

Pigs have the chance to close out the finals at home tomorrow in front of 20,000 screaming fans in the newly improved Pig Pen.

News of the reaction from RCR has further buoyed team spirits. The Raging Pigs players smell blood.

Perhaps there was limited interest in the 3vs4 matchup but the Giants relish the sweet feel of victory (6-2) on the road vs the Weasels.

After 40min: 1-0 Reds. Shots even at 17-17.

After 60min: 2-0 Reds after a late goal. Shots 30-28 Reds.

Much more evenly-matched affair. To game 3 we go!

With a 4-3 win over the Métropolitains HC, the Calgary Patches have secured 9th place in the placement for division II.3. This marks the 4th consecutive season that the Patches have finished 9th in the placement games, and they have hit that mark in 7 of the last 9 seasons. For next season, they once again hope that they'll be able to crack the top 8 for a higher rank and their first playoffs appearance.

Congrats on the strong finish! Hopefully next year you can get over that hump!
