Packing it in and going VL to save energy for the bronze series?
My inner debate - part of me wants to go VH and give you a run or at least tire you out a bit for the finals. The other part of me wants to go VL and save energy to give us a better shot in the 3vs4 round.
Just think, if you do win the series... I'll still be in II.3 next year! 
We both know I'm not capable of winning this series - perhaps I could steal a game if my goalie gets hot, I get tactics right, and lady luck pays a visit but there's little chance I could steal two.
Best case scenario is I force a third game and make you waste a point of energy but you've played on very low all season and I imagine all your starters are in the 90's.
I just hope you don't embarrass me again this season at home in front of my fans.

Out of curiosity - is there much of a difference in sponsor money (not placement playoff money) between finishing 3rd or 4th?
A bit, not much. The extra OTR from playoffs is as important imo.
3-0 20min in. RCR appear to be dominating with shots 18-3. Perhaps I could have toned back energy usage but GBG are a much different team than when I last played them and I didn't want to take them for granted.
I suspect Game 2 will be close when home ice shifts. Who knows... still 2 periods left at this point a goal by them will shake confidence and it could come much easier from there on.

It appears GBG are saving it for the bronze round. I can't say I blame him, shame I played the first on N
