Sadly, CHC have never managed to produce an NT worthy player, so how could I hope to manage them?

That doesn't mean anything. If anything you'd be more qualified. Managing a team with no-stars and producing wins is harder than winning with a team full of stars!
So true. You have done an excellent job with no NT players. And also I manage hockey in divison 2 with no NT hockey players.

Truth be told, I await junior NT teams: the senior is about long term manager commitment and training, but junior is find the best you got and develop the best strategy for that crew. Seems more dynamic somehow.

You're lucky! I avoid mine as much as I can. I've yet to convince the gf that the centre of the universe is somewhere far away and not smack in the middle of her body.
WC qualify start this season and we are in group with France, Italy, China, Chile, Denmark, Belarus and Iran.
Should be able to secure a top-3 finish.
Qualification looks a reasonable goal to achieve...
Italy is my favorite, then it's between France, Denmark and Canada. However, there are always some upset so I bet on China to make it to 4th rank, as they just surprised in intl cup. Meaning either France, Denmark or Canada will finish 5th. I just hope it won't be us! We had our share of upset since the beginning, bad luck, small mistakes, missed opportunities, so I can't be anything but a little nervous lol.
I'm going to bombard the thread with Keep'em or Cut'em series on each of the current NT players. The World Cup won't take place until the end of season 10 and our players value will change greatly during that span. I will consider things like career length, experience, NT chemistry, their qualities, and their training potential to evaluate whether or not they have a bright future with the NT.
