With my own largest section still being Medium Stand-Up, I haven't seen the results of more advanced sections drawing larger crowds. If you're all but guaranteed to sell out those sections or have it made up in Souvenirs, Snacks, Skybox and TV rights ... at least with the Double and Triple you're experiencing positive cash flows.
That said, if you aren't selling out, if you need to upgrade the Ice, Sound, Parking and Scoreboard to fill up for games, you're really eroding your opportunity to be profitable.
Last point ... there's an opportunity cost as well. $80m spent on that stadium could just as easily be spent on (1) several players that improve your team (though they are decaying assets, could also be regarded as investments if trained and sold at profits), or (2) facilities, which do not decay over time.

$288k in facility repairs tonight. The hockey gods (or game masters) didn't like my editorial on Arenas, but obviously I couldn't be in the pocket-book very hard for arena costs so they went elsewhere.

The Maintain Center is also a pretty poor use of funds.
To reach Level 8 for example, it'll cost around $13m. For that, you'll pay $10,200 daily for the cost if the center, or $1,142,400 per season.
How often do the big facility repair hit and for how much? I see about one every three weeks for $250k. At that rate it's still about a cost of $10k per day, but you don't have to lay down $13m "to make sure you'll pay it."
Another way to see it is in a 16 week season there are 5.3 such three-week periods. 5.3 * ($250k) = $1,325,000 ... a value pretty similar to your season exposure to events.
Next: why the Management Facility is also a poor investment.

There is no such thing as a Management Facility...
probably the HR & E department
I'm courious if there is a good investment after all

Well that's one of those facilities that depends on if you use them. If you like to scout players, it really helps. If you don't, the investment value goes down. I'm sure it helps with sponsor offers, and brings staff to your team.
My current daily Arena costs should be 361970.
Instead with a level 9 maint centre they are 296,815 (no staff)
My current daily Facility costs should be 415500.
Instead with a level 9 maint centre they are 398028 (no staff)
Thats a saving of $65155+17427=82627 per day.
Thats 9,254,224 per 112 day season that i save buy having a level 9 maint centre.
Given it only cost 21,5m to build lvl 9 maint. I think its a great investment.

Isn't arena maintenance basically covered by the television rights deal? So the only time you have to pay for the added maintenance of an upgrade is during the season before your next T.V. rights deal - after that it would be covered by your new, larger offer which wouldn't have been as large if you hadn't upgraded.
I will agree with the maintenance center being a very slow return though. For my current facilities/arena, upgrading hockey to level 3 maintenance from 2 would take 175 days to break even (and soccer from 1 to 2 is 271 days to pay off).

A duel at the boards. Antonio Manuel Cármenes hits his opponent harder than would be fair and sends him down to the ice. The referee says play on. But Heřman Gocala, doesn't like it and he takes the role of the avenger. He challenges Antonio Manuel Cármenes to a fight, who looks into the furious eyes of his opponent and he tries to escape. This is unheard of, it looks like a Chaplin grotesque. Antonio Manuel Cármenes escapes along the boards, and he has Heřman Gocala on his heels who is chased by both of the linesmen!!! The fans are amazed. This funny foursome is now on their third lap!!! Antonio Manuel Cármenes finally escapes to his bench. Heřman Gocala satisfied with this chase sits down on his bench. Well I have never seen anything like this. This will surely be the talk among the fans for a long time.
HA.... LOVE IT. Didnt know where else to share
I was wondering if some of you veterans can look at my hockey team and see what you think I should do next. I plan on continuing to upgrade the facitlities, but wonder how I can become competitive?

Lets get this guy set up with a mentor. I'll look his team over later today. If you want, I'll take him.
