the manual says that chemistry increases with each game played and decreases with each game missed, does that go for friendlies as well as league?
it does from what i've seen. i use friendlies to build a base of experience and chemistry for my B-squad. it takes longer to build chemistry that way, though. i suspect there is a weighting difference between league games and friendlies.
SUGGESTIONS:
HOCKEY ARENA's should be more in line with soccer as far as stadium seating goes.

Hokey arenas are much smaller than outdoor soccer arena so it makes no sense to have huge arenas.
Exactly, the biggest hockey rinks are roughly 20,000 or so, give or take 5k
Most soccer stadiums are built along the lines of football stadiums, which can hold up to 100,000.

In this game hockey can seat up to 20,000 while soccer 80,000. That is the same as modern NHL arenas and larger than Old Trafford and other major stadiums in Europe.
Is it possible to only designate 3 lines on the Lines tab and select a tactic that only uses 3 lines?
I want to run a camp, but may not have enough to field 4 lines. If I leave the 4th line empty will it run with 3 or generate a bonus lineup?

I don't know if you are asking this, but I think I was in the same situation. If you run 3 lines, with the 4th one empty, you still have to go to tactics and choose to run 3 lines.
I've often only dressed 3 lines during T.C's and have never changed my tactics, and it plays the 3 lines fine.
Thanks for the answers both of you. Just want to ensure I don't end up with an autogenerated line and players pulled from camp.
Another quick one then... In my league there are four managerless teams (not NoNs, but crosses). Does that ensure that no matter how I do for the rest of the season I will not auto-relegate?
If that is the case I'd rather run my camps now then risk losing playoff and promotion/relegation matches.

Crosses play with the auto generated line up, which is highest primary for every position regardless of secondaries and normal/normal on tactics. They can still win games and will keep whatever position they finish in. So in that sense it's not set in stone that you won't finish bottom 4.
That said, I don't see the bottom 4 teams winning enough games to overtake you in the standings. So you might as well run your camps to buff up for your eventual promotion/relegation matches.
