I've played before football manager, it was my first love, now looking at this point of view it looks like somebody is talking me in to playing football here and I don't wanna play it Strange...
Speaking of random, I honestly feel that your team got what it takes to beat mine, but it can be used as well as an example if tactic is right and the result is wrong.
I've also had an impression that stronger team has bigger chances to win (like from 7 games to win 5), but real problem stands when you as a manager have that chances even when you have stronger team and have made a right tactic (managed to "read" your opponent). In that case we are using well known phrase "random" because the game goes to that direction. Chances that something like that could happen should be one from 20 games, roughly. In Cup games maybe even more, like 1 in 50.
Conclusion is that I would like to see tweaked engine a bit, like Vlady indicated, and that there should be some very good updates since they have more then 1 year of experience.

with tactics i use a cube so 6 tactics so 6 changes and evey time an other tactic under a number! so it is hard to read my team.

than next time normal can be 1 till 6 so i first use the cube for the tactic and than use it 15 times to set the tactic (most i use)

excample
1: normal,
2: counter
3: defence
4: attack
5: Breaking
6: forechecking

And I thought I got you well read in the CL !
We still got a revanche to play, and I'll keep that in mind.
It's a random with your team then concerning tactics (if your opponent is similar to you)
