I've have i player who turned 18 this season and is still growing. So there is more than 210 days of potential grow for players.

I think the idea that the players grow at constant rate is plausible. Thank you for sharing that.
However, someone from PPM, I think Vlady, said that players don't stop growing at 18. Possibly the implication is that some players may stop growing before 18 as well.

Based on the information available to me, I surmise that players have a constant growth rate and each player also has a predetermined number of days that they grow for.
Although we can get a good estimate on the growth rate, we can only guess at how many days the player will continue to grow.

Therefor, method described by vinter is a good estimate and should give anyone who uses it a reasonable idea of the final height and a position to train for. But it's not full proof and can be off somewhat.

Never noticed it before Vinter pointed it out but the players do gain a CM every set number of days. That is really useful information.

Well, back to the drawingboard. I only have a few 17 year olds. I guess it might be possible that players always grow for 210 days(or more). It was dureing the beta they talked about a span of 15-18. But i have to see the numbers to calculate it.

At least you can calculate the growth until the player turns 18. Should make it a bit easier to pick a position earlier.

I don't think it's every N number of days.
I think it's a certain growth per day.
For example:
growth=0.045/day
This makes a player grow every 22.222 days.
It will make a player appear to grow 1cm every 22 days. However, approximately every 5th growth cycle, the player will go 23 days.

My guess is a player will have a random growth time between 200-300 days, not a fixed number of days for every player. That's what Vlady seemed to indicate that players have a different time to grow.

I agree, we can at least get a good estimate of what the player will be.

i think formula is more simple:
h0 = 182
a = 15 days (2nd time growing)

h = (h0 + 1) + (210 / a) = 183 + 14 = 197 cm

This makes more sense, makes up for the extra days some have noticed. Why program something more complicated?

If the calculation puts you withing +1/-1 of the actual hight, its very helpful.

Thanks for the formula. I'll be giving it a try on my next few keepable YS promotions. Of course, it depends on linear growth, but it looks right.

on the subject of growth...I just got a trainee at 160 cm. Does anyone have any idea if he will make it to 175 to be playable height? I don't think I have seen anyone grow 15cm before they top out. My personal thought is that this would be at the very top end of the growth scale so few an far between. Thoughts?

Now I really want to try out this formula and see how my latest keepable player ends up. Fortunately, his skill set (unscouted) works well for a PG.

I have a 17 year old that is growing every 13 days. I havent done too much poking around. But that seams quicker than my other players. Just some food for thought.
