Lads, remember, the rate at which you get good players varies by sport. Since there are only 5 players on the court at a time in basketball it will be much more rare to get good players than when you have 22 on a roster like in hockey. If we were pulling stars every season we'd have a team full of superstars within no time.
I've seen him as a B, just like all the other players. I just went by the position, that I needed a good back up for. Plus looks like you got a better player AQ wise. Also my PG most likely will be a SG with 99% shooting and good starting height.
I'm still unaware as to how they're grading system works... I drafted a B overall and D overall, the difference in the players was little to nothing. My B has a 3 stars across the board, while the D has two stars. The overalls are 189 for the B and 176 for the D, and both 6/6 career longevity. If the differences between players are so minimal what's the point of the draft? I would rather have a random SA pull that could produce a better product instead of being led on with the false hope that I'm going to get a decent player. Overall, a very disappointing turn of events and makes me question why I waste my time with this when the system in place is clearly broken.
Did anyone draft an A player and if so I what was his overall? I would like to compare it with Caps SA pulls this season. As of this moment he's had two 250+ OR players pulled from his SA. Just wondering if anyone's draft can compare to that?

When you scout someone, your scouting is too inaccurate. So, your B may have really been a C and your D could have also been a C.
However, when the draft is over, the player shows his true grade.
I've drafted a B and a C and the difference is significant.

I can't say if I had the best HR department out of my draft, but I was top level. A few people have said the guy drafted was a B for them, except one guy who had a C for him. I've felt the HR department does factor in the draft, but when nearly everyone has the same data as myself then I can conclude it was correct, or rather we are all wrong (doubtful).
I think it has to do with randomization algorithm they use, at least I swear it's randomized.

Actually, Franco (264 OR and 74 AVQ) was a draft pick from the last draft. Chamberlain (272 OR and 75 AVQ) was a sports academy pull (I somehow got Brannon, who has 220 OR and 74 AVQ, at the same time).
I am waiting for my sports academy to improve before I look at the players I drafted yesterday.

Actually, it looks like quite a few people pulled players with ~230+ OR, and a few of those players even have 80+ unscouted AVQ.
Mine has 85% AQ unscouted and is 240 OR. Can't wait to finish scouting him. The way things are going I can start rotating some younger guys into my bench soon, considering their AQ and OR relative to my current bench.
Mine is only 77% AQ but is 247 OR and super high unscouted PG qualities. starting with 98% passing.
very happy with my #7 selection. Todd Sullivan will soon by my starting PG

Well it seems I sh*t end of the stick with my draft picks then, but I wasn't expecting much from it anyways. In my experience I've always had better SA pulls later in the season...
Interesting to see what everyone else has gotten.

My B is 239 with 85% quality (unscouted)

My C is 200 with 64% quality (unscouted)

Going to keep the B, selling the C.

I got two "decent" players, both were B rated. But both came in the 200 range for OR. the first scouted out as 76 AVQ, could make a decent PF or C. He could make 3rd string PF relatively soon, but it's going to take forever to get him built up to a decent level.
Should have waited to finish scouting him. He's no dud, but he definitely looked better before scouting.
