is the shooting attribute refelected in rating or team strengh? It doesnt seem so
another good improvement would be the same rating for all positions if a certain amount of skillpoints is distributed the right way. right now even a bad forward reaches a higher rating than a well skilled goalkeeper

I used to train my players heavily in such attributes (up to 30%). The problem was the ratings and team strength of my club was sliding behind other teams. I think I trained it too much, but I have no way of knowing what is needed and what is excessive. I like to train as realistic as possible, however, in the interest of staying competitive I've since stopped training such attributes.
it is reflected in rating of forwards and midfielders (to a lesser extent). This is the main reason why forwards have such high ratings.
Not in defenders at all? Interesting. What else is in that brain of yours sir Vladimir!?!
no, but they also use it the same way as forwards when they happen to take a shot. But since they don't take a lot of shots, it is not included in their rating.
I consider it still worth the training for players that are in border positions more often (like many midfielders). The question is how much? Too bad we have no real good information source for that - but still it can be seen to some extent in the TS when one looks carefully.
At least I think one should be careful now that the A skill grows ever bigger and the non-position skills become marginal.
Interesting discussion btw.

I disbelieve you can see it in TS. All other ideas, I fully agree with you.
I'm still in kind of doubt, but my specially skilled OM gave me a considerably higher bonus to offense then the equally rated normally trained one, when put in CAM. But that is still work in progress...
I probably should have said: "...but right now I believe it can be seen to some extent in the TS..." Sorry for being too rash.

I think we can only see it in results. And I was losing several games I should have won so I stopped training it. It should be reflected in the IGR in my opinion.
I did the same thing, training adjacent primaries as low value secondaries (25-33%), and the benefit definitely didn't seem worth the cost of my players being a little worse at their main position. It also made it much harder to find good players since they needed even more decent qualities.
Who scores more goals? Specially skiled one or normal CAM?
When you put left footed on right side it is shown in ratings and loses more than 20%. Thats not true in RL, Roben plays on right side all the time.
The specially skilled CM. But then, he is the one that plays CAM most of the time. So, one could not trust this statistics 100%.
We don't have here left/right footed players but only preferred side. It's a big difference.
L or R isn't meant to be left- or right-footed, but rather the side on which the player likes to play. Robben for example could be R or U.
(Of course it would add fun and variability if we could train and play specifically left-footed players on the right and vice versa. But on the other hand that's not really necessary for now.)
