Have to say that I am really looking forward to season 7. I abandoned the simple ratio training plans for my team and while that did not translate to many wins in season 6 during the transition, I am really well prepared for the new tactics.
Having players of many different roles will be essential when matching up against others. Teams that follow simple cookie cutter ratios will only be effective in a particular strategy.
Its going to be an interesting season....
Good luck to all!

Reposting this from Ziggy in one of the other league threads. In addition to the new importance levels, they've also changed how much energy is lost.
---
Making sure you all know the new energy losses for the new playing levels.
LEVEL Competitive Friendly
Very Low 0.10 0.02
Low 0.25 0.05
Normal 0.50 0.10
High 1.00 0.20
Very High 1.50 0.30
For Competitive games the new Very and Low use more energy then the old Low. New Normal uses more energy then old Normal. New High and Very High use less energy then old High.
---
Very interesting. Going to have to rethink some things.

Hmmm. Not sure I'm crazy about this energy loss.
I guess we'll have to see, but Very Low sounds like it would hurt performance a lot, but even the step to Low is using way more energy, and you'd be hurting by the end of the season.

Woohoo, first place for 2 days is mine. It will be the last I see of it for a long, long time though.
Sadly my training regimen is probably crippling my team further. I have one of the worst team Strength/Manager Experience ratios in the US.
So I've readjusted both training schemes for hockey and football/soccer to be more in line with the normal ratios, but with tweaks based upon my training scheme.
At least there will not be an adjustment period because most of my players will be concentrating on getting the primary skills to the levels they should be so the team should actually improve during the transition.

We probably have similar ideas of how we want the game to work. The damn thing just won't cooperate=)
I also trained more secondaries than seems to be the usual, which resulted in lower primaries. It seemed to work pretty well in hockey and soccer up until this soccer season. And the hockey season hasn't started out how I expected it to either. I'm going to bump up the primaries, but I won't completely abandon what I want to do.

Yeah I think I'm actually happier with the new ratios I'm using for both sports. It seems like I've settled on a better balance yet still train players to have diversity.
I got my first 600 OR player =)

And you're about to get your 10th player with 500OR!
I'd like to feel bad about my team right about now, but DA doesn't have a 400OR player. That seems hard to believe.

I have been concentrating on building up facilities that I haven't been spending a lot on the market. I'm not sure when I'll be ready to start buying higher OR players. Hopefully my team is going to develop faster as a result of the changes I've made. But, I think my staff is lagging behind others so I will probably invest in better staff before I start dropping money on players.
