I have no idea, outside of the fact that my team has been playing arse up lately My goalies are not cutting it, and my offense isn't clicking like the beginning of the season.

Hah. Nope. None of the above. Bombsville Atomics has been the name of my fake sports teams for a while. I have no idea where that came from. The Squirrel Cage thing is just a coincidence. I just thought it sounded cool

I was so convinced that this was a loss, that I almost emailed you to let you know that I was playing on Low. I figure if I'm not trying, I might as well help someone else save some energy too.

And surprise surprise, my goalie isn't on the All-Star team. The AST is screwed up.

The goalie who took the all star slot had a shut out against 18 shots, your goalie gave up a goal against 20 shots.

He was clearly the better goaltender that week.

Your team is playing strong right now, and this loss dropped me from 5th to 9th, so this is a really competitive league

That was my team with the 20 shots.
My goalie faced 35 shots and gave up a goal

The AST goalie faced a team 50+OTR behind.
I faced a team that was 5 OTR ahead.

The AST goalie was 3 points ahead of the other team in the standings.
I was 1 point behind the Sparhawks before the game.

I always thought OTR played the biggest part of the AST selection process. I dominated III.1 for two seasons and rarely got players on the AST because I had the highest OTR. Now I have no clue how it works.

I don't know either, I gave up a long time ago. Sorry I missed that one - you have a pretty strong arguement, I think the shutout > the gaps unless it's huge.

I personally agree with you, as without the goalie in net I would have easily won ;P But I also don't usually care about the All Star thing, it's cool but I don't get hung up on it.

Same as opivy, I gave up on the AST a long time ago. I was just surprised when I saw the result. In III.1, I kept trying to figure out why my guys missed out and it usually came back to the difference in OTR and position in the standings. That wasn't the case this time.

I don't really care that he didn't make it, but I was hoping someone knew how it worked

My PR staff called the league office and accused your goalie of using blood doping agents.... ;P

I have one that's about to start, but it's primarily future players

I currently have my 3rd and 4th lines + a few other players that aren't on my starting roster in camp .It suprised me that it only took my Team Strenght down 6 points to have 2 full lines of subs playing with no exp or chem.

I should have tried to take advantage of this on Wednesday. Oops! It looks like if I had played on Normal and dropped the 4th line (they were -3), I might have had a chance. But stealing 3 points from taloncarde has already made this week a good one
