The tournament looks pretty up for grabs, my goaltending is going to end up hurting me in the end. I got tactics on hog and still got dominated in shots.
Wow 2011 is really turning into a horrible year for me in this game. Only have 1 win all year and it's against an inactive...geez!
I am trying to make a late season charge to the playoffs. It took my new goalie some time to get his chemistry up. Two more positions to move up to make the big show.. Good luck to all.
ouch. low on the road is always a killer but it seemed you had everything else going for you. a tough one for sure.
ouch :/ You do have to admit that he had the perfect style picked for today tho bro. Add to that each line was considerably rated higher too and it leads to that rough loss :/ A loss like that never sits well tho as I know all too well!

huh...west coast was rated higher. Where did you see that?
Yeah he read the results wrong, you were higher across the board even with him utilizing only 3 lines, your 4th line is stronger than his 2nd and 3rd, maybe even 1st, I can;t recall so the matchups should have been in your favor. But he had you on tactics so that gives him a nice boost, especially in his own house.
So while it was improbable for you to lose. He increased the possibility by choosing the right tactics and playing only 3 lines.

i read the tactics incorrectly when i said you had everything else going for you. yep, low on the road + wrong tactics + normal game event probabilities.
Actually High Hitterz had the right tactic. Active Forechecking beats Counterattacks.
Are you saying you play normal every road game?
What tactic wheel do you have written down. Active trumps counter hence the shot differenece in our match. Now I had a goalie meltdown which is really the truth behind all this. My post was just in fustration in how my 2011 has gone so far in PPM hockey.
The line-by-line matchup in terms of quality when utilizing 4 lines vs 3 lines was still in Blackkat's favor.
His opponent had advantage of home arena and tactic. And like Blackkat mentioned, goalie meltdown.
So my last summary sentence still holds. It sucks that he lost, but it was possible but unlikely.

You obviously missed what I typed, his opponent had home ice advantage but NOT tactic. Activeforchecking > Counterattacks. Hight Hitterz played Active Forchecking. Why do you keep saying he lost in tactics? I wasn't stating anything about the game, just that you guys were incorrectly stating that he got beat in tactic.
My apology, I misread who had which tactics. I just reread the box score. Thanks for clarifying. So yeah it makes it a little more perplexing.
However there are a couple of things that we can't see from the box scores that have a sizeable impact on the outcome of the game, namely chemistry and experience.
And yeah the random factor is always present, but hopefully smaller than the others.... Well we can hope can't we?
