Convincing win against Iran today. We remain at #1.


Probably playing his last match in USA league I gave Frederick Schneider some extra time playing defense on 1st quarter and he took advantage of it scoring 4 goals on fast break. he had a near perfect match.

Returning off injury, Jeff Rice was a key player today. And he didn't disappoint.

While I was aware we were going to face a solid back defense, Mario Tubbs had a day to forget. 3 for 11 and having trouble to even shoot from close distance.

While Stacey Wells had trouble to score as well, he was able to move the ball well finishing the match with 5 assists and no turnovers.

Our defense was very solid. Don Womack 3 steals and 1 block and Joshua Chase 4 steals.

Next match, against Portugal, wont be easy.

Portugal finished last season in 3rd place. Although we will try our best to win the match, the key is not to lose by too many points.

Running camps the next two weeks.

Tough loss. Good counter for the second half... That team is a beast.

Both Portugal and Czech are tough teams. We did good today.

Our Goalies didnt do great. I guess they are enjoying training camp in Hawaii way too much and not focused.

Our defense was not good (neither was Czech's asides from one player that did great)

Marty Kemp was horrible. There will be change for starting CB next match. Mitch Hilton will likely start in his place.

Darron Marrero will be in camp for two weeks so Ronald Thomas will start next 2 matches. My plan is to rotate those two. in the finals I will decide who will play. As it stands Thomas is the front runner.

There is a possibility I will play Lloyd Russ as second goalie

In a note, Czech play Iran next match and if they win, Portugal is automatically qualified and may save energy against us (and Iran for that matter)

Although we lost both matches to Portugal and Czech we have 23 goals more than Iran.

Mario Tubbs , Frederick Schneider and Stacey Wells are close to 70% chemistry.

This is good news as next season it will allow some of our current youngsters to have some Playing Time

William Jack and Logan Mallory have 60%

Yeah... game was definitely rough. Definitely didnt anticipate them going with a 5-1 defense out of the gate. But I like how we played pivot and wing shooting and stacy wells took 15 shots anyways (only making 5 of them). That stuff always frustrates the neck out of me.

In looking at our current lineup, outside of wells, none of our best players are backs. I think this is causing us problems against some of the higher quality teams.

I also continue to be underwhelmed by Jack. I really dont understand how he can be so good on paper, and so bad in international competition.

Pascale goes down

17 days is a huge bummer.

I was going to sit him next match and against Czech (if we were already qualified) but now plans changed. Lloyd will play next 2 championship matches plus friendlies and Pascale probably the last 2. I may end up keeping Lloyd depending on his performance.

Ya know, my players are pretty good in international play.

What's Webb Densmore 's scouted AQ? He might be worth a look for the future. His OR is pretty beastly for a 15 year old.

I'm not sure that any of your other starters have high enough OR for their age to make an impact on the NT at this point. Most NT players start at a minimum of 440 OR or so unless they're "youngsters."

And don't think about it like that... think about it like this: which one of the current national team players would you replace in order to add your guys? Fact is, most are probably similar to yours in age, CL, and qualities, but they have higher OR and are on teams with (in most cases) better facilities.

We are always looking for great young players to continue carrying the torch though. So let me know about Densmore.
