So have we decided which defensive tactics are best against shooting styles then?
My current thinking is that 6-0 is best against wing, 5-1 is best against pivot, 4-2 is best against balanced, and 3-2-1 is best against backs.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Apologies... I just realized this should probably be in the tactics thread, but it applies to tescosamoa's posts.

Just curious about the pricing in the market for players with low OA. These prices are very high.I can understand a player thats 6/6 with 95+ quality going for big bucks, but i'm seeing scrubs in the low 200 range going for prices well into the millions. Maybe i'm just used to the pricing in hockey. Is this due to the Handball league not being around long enough to have produced players with really high OA?
Holy heck..This market is insane. I just watched a crappy player with a quality of 74 sell for 70 million, might have gone for more i didnt watch the bid war, last bid was 70 mil+. What are you people thinking? These are lousy players that you're tossing insane money at.I thought this website monitored the market for fair pricing.Yes/no? Why bother even attempting to play handball for the next 5 or 6 seasons until theres quality players that deserve these insane prices? Theres no incentive to even attempt to play competitively right now. Goalies in the low 200 range or selling for 30 million, WTH? There needs to be a cap until the player pool fills up. Theres more incentive to farm players and whore them out at ridiculous prices than play the game as it stands.
If you notice something too fishy, report the transaction. I am not sure if they monitor if nobody complains. I have to agree that some sells are so insane that can only think of really bad players making horrible bids or someone might be cheating.
Goalies have always been at higher price btw

there is a goalie for 67M that even though the average quality is "low" the effective quality is pretty high. If I had the money Id make a bid for sure.
perhaps the player you saw being sold for 70M had high effective quality.
If i do not pull a top goalie soon, I will be in the market for one.

I tend to agree with you on that in some respect. But people that have saved enough to throw down 70 mil generally aren't noobs and understand fair market pricing. I can understand a goalie fetching more when theres a smaller pool of available goalies, but the prices are not even close to being on par with their low quality and OA.And thats in a sense is understandable as theres a great need for that position. I'm not trying to be overly critical but I can't see the point in not saying anything s this is setting the cornerstone of future pricing.Sponsors are going to need to offer a lot more per season just to man a team with scrubs. I've experienced sticker shock at car dealerships but this one has made my head spin.
those also sell a coupld of their not so great players for 20-40M or so. thats how they often manage to have the money to "upgrade" their players. That is the most efficient way to build a top roster.
My issue is not with this, my issue is that sometime really crap players being sold for huge amount of money

Agreed. Makes me wonder how much a 6/6 with a quality of 99 would go for.
This may change the direction in which I build my facilities first. I've no issue either with building up players and profiting if someone is developing quality players. And from what i've seen thus far, "quality" players seem to range from 60% and up. I'm used to 90% and up.

you are new manager and your team obviously is not as good as the ones that started from season 1.
I suggest you focus on your Sports Academy. Level 1 will do no good for you. build that as quick as you possible can. It is one of the most important ones specially when game just started as they can be a good source of income.
No point building Training Facility if you are not going to either be a market buyer or pull decent players from your own academy. Make sure your SA is high before spending the money on TF.
In your league, Id not even worry much on regeneration. Id leave about half of your TF level or 2 levels behind.
Buying players in the market, as you can see, it is expensive.
