I'm 100% with you on that, But it's not as good for price on the market IMHO
Agreed. I didn't groom him for the market. Just figured I need cash bad and I very capable C4 and C5.
DAh... put on sale a pretty solid goalie 218-114-114 build at 24 years old. Sold for less than 2 500 000$. Check the market, see a pretty much useless goalie at 25 the bid closed at 7 500 000$ in the same time. Why is it never me? =(
I can't agree more... whenever I put a bid in for a player, some European dude bids at the last minute and eventually another European bids with a ridiculous amount to win it.
Haha so true! It took me 3 weeks to buy a 200-100-100 center at a decent price!
And I've been overbid today in soccer on a good mid, the guy went up to 30M. Those guys are crazy...

I did have my canadian 215-110-110 goalie for 8 millions. Very nice. AQ higher than 85 for primary and secondary.
Average quality is the average of all their quality ratings.
A player with 50-50-50-50-50-50 would have an AvQ of 50
A player with 51-99-51-99-51-99 would have an AvQ of 75

It's just the average of their "Quality" across each attribute. A higher number indicates they are a better athlete across the board, but if the qualities aren't in skills that are useful, it means nothing.
Please note that in my post, I am talking about their qualities, not their attribute values.
I would say it's a good indicator of their value, however, not always a true indicator... Goalies can have a low AvgQ, but because they only have 3 attributes that matter (Goa/Pas/Tec), they can have amazing Q's for those 3 attributes and absolute crap for the others, driving down their AvgQ..
In general though, AvgQ is a good indicator... Just keep in mind that the players you see on the market? Their AvgQ will change, potentially, when you win them in an auction, and again when you scout them.

Yeah, I bought a staff with an AvQ of 86, as soon as he reports to my club his AvQ is 69.
Hopefully it'll go up when he's scouted.
AvQ changes when a player/staff reports to your club, on Mondays when you review all unscouted players and when scouted.
Once scouted the qualities will always be the actual quality.
