Agree. Only time i would do that is if it were a final.
So I will play at very low.It is a game where I have no chance to win so I do not need to get my players tired.
Exactly. As tough as it is, at times we simply are better off taking the loss to try and do better in other games. In your case you're 2nd in your league, so taking a big hit to energy would be a mistake IMO. Focus on the league games

What are his attys? Hate to waste Shot and O Qs but goalies are most valuable market bait... C are least valuable. What do you need?
He came to me as a forward (higher Offence than Goal). My team has 5 centers that he'll never catch and 3 goalies that are miles ahead. This player falls into the 'train him up then sell him' boat.
In that case goalie. Only need to train 3 attys (faster than 4) and they fetch more.
But you forget about the "WPP"... the wrong position penalty.
In PPM every player is designed to play one role, e.g. forward, defenseman, goalie. You can tell by the highest of those primary attys what role a player is destined to play. If you boost his goaltending above his offensive atty now, there will be a huge penalty to his performance. Have you noticed players with defense=offense playing very bad? Here you have the penalty again.
Even mighty Vlady won't deny.

Ya what? I have a bunch of players with high off and def that play D or Fwd. They do well. Not sure wth you are talking about
It's possible that they do well, but under the circumstance that you train pass to wingers and aggression to centers as well. For forwards ony the combination of tertiary atty + defense will will make them defensively effective.
It works like this:
Example Winger 1: DEF = 50, pass = 05 -> effective defense = pass * 2 =10
Example Winger 2: DEF = 50, pass = 25 -> effective defense = pass * 2 =50
It's just like with primary and secondary attys. Primary alone isn't worth anything unless you train secondaries, too. I guess you do train pass for wingers, Canucks357, don' t you?

Only some of them. Guys on the PP I do. I basically train D-Agr on all skaters to some extent.
