Hahahaha. I always seem to be behind in the market game. My player sales are permanently stuck in the 3-8mil window regardless of bundles and Qs.
I think that players should all disappear when a team folds. I don't really see the reasoning in putting them on the market.
There is a new question. How do some people fetch 10 million for a nice player when others hardly break a million? Whats the ultimate market secret?
Yeah timing is huge factor. We all remember that 160 OR guy that was stuck at the top list for hours and sold for more than 2 millions. My guess is that few people really check the player but bid on everything near the deadline. I've got 650 000$ for a good not div1 goalie (had like 120-40-60) but deadline was during the night. I always get more during the day.
Back for a second to the issue of players from defunct teams...
PPM seemed to bug out when it prematurely terminated the contracts from of all the 250+OR players from defunct teams at the same time. That's not to say that those players shouldn't have hit the market.
From the guide: Player dismissal
"If a player, whose overall rating is higher than 250, is dismissed or his contract is not renewed, he will automatically go on the market. If his overall rating is lower or equals 250, the player will retire."
That rule should apply to defunct teams, and their players should hit the market as their contracts expire, whether or not they are on the NT. If only the NT players are saved, it helps only the best teams and hurts the worst.

Timing is key. It's a balance though. You put them up during peak traffic hours... there's also more guys on the market. So it's a balance for sure. I've found putting guys up for 10k really helps. That way you get lots of bidders when the price is low and the player stays on the "your sales and bids" page. Outside of that the only real guarantee that you'll get top dollar for a player is that he's a good player

Experience make me bet more on a player, I'm not selling a lot of player i buy more and a good balance player with experience i can pay 7 million if he is over 400 TC
A lot of people under estimate experience. I look for it on par with Qs when I'm looking for a franchise player. However, a lot of my buys are train & sells thus experience isn't as big of deal. Come playoff time, load up on exp. It helps - believe me you.
I have 9 players over 100 exp...
One of them has 130...

deadrick has a couple over 100 Exp. His guys are the only ones on the Canadian National Team.
Wednesday's are not the day to sell players anymore. It's become a day to find serviceable mid range players.
