As the season winds down, I think it's time review where we're at and where we're going with the National Team.
First off, I would like to express my desire to remain NT Manager for the full two year term. I'm happy with our results in qualifying, and look forward to building up the InterContinental Cup (ICC) squad.
YinCheuk, canucks357, skipman6, and slavko74 have been involved with the team descisions. I'm very happy with their insight and plan on keeping the group of five together for the remainder of my term.
A top 4 finish at the ICC is the goal I would like to set for us. I think our chances of medaling are very good.
I have done a lot of moving players in and out of the lineup. It is my intent to have 22 players at or near 100 chemistry for the ICC. Right now we have 7 players at or near 100, and 18 players above 50 with about 20 games to go.
There will be a PPM Challenge Cup at the end of this season. The roster we select will be influenced on a few factors; including the need to build NT chemistry, and the likelihood of the that player being on the final roster for both the ICC (season8) and the WC (season10). We won't be fielding an ideal line-up for this tournament but we will be gaining valuable experience for our most important players.
I expect the team will look quite similar next season. If you look at the numbers assigned to players on the team; 1-22 are the frontrunners for the ICC squad, the 30's are hopefulls for the season 10 WC team, and the 50's are having trouble keeping pace. These number assignments do change and I don't underestimate the value of experience and chemistry.
The season 8 squad will have most, if not all of it's players training in level 15 facilities. I'm excited to see their growth over the next 3 seasons. I hope to see most of our selections playing in the Season 10 World Cup.
That's about it for now, I look forward to discussing all things NT either on the forum or through PM.

Always so well organized and informed. Great work this year tmo!
I have been looking at CD player builds lately and notice a lot of clubs like the 2-1-1-1. I have noted that Elton Lai of the ck's has posted a 24 rating in a ratio of 24-12-12-12-14, which equals a 12-6-6-6-7. So if I may suggest to bring the heading of CD's up a touch and report back to see if we see any rating increase. Thanks just passing along some observations.
While ago I started to train heading a bit higher and I think it's wort it as we can see on Elton ratings.
For CDs heading is required above the traditional 50% as per my findings as well.
That 12-6-6-6-7 steroid build was first suggested by canucks357.
It's working great.

Haha steroid!
I voted to keep TMO at the helm for another season. Once again, good work mighty!

12-6-6-6-7, or 100-50-50-50-58? BTW, where does this 58 come from? what about 55 or 60? do you have run some tests at those levels, and do you think it would make any difference?
I have run tests. And yes heading needs to be higher. However what it demands can be reduced from other secondaries.
Rob Frenette , is soon going to have a 200 shooting rating for our season ending tourney. Lets hope he can sizzle a few to the top corner this time around.
Also I am looking to give him a nickname, I will take suggestions and choose the best one I can.

Suggestions:
a) "Bert" as in 'Rob-bert'
b) Cone-head (based on his picture)
c) Various chauvinist names are always funny

That's bull.... Has everyone not been paying attention here? I can't even write anymore, I'm rattled... don't want to say too much.
This reminds me of those "who farted" moments.
I don't think it'd really matter though.
Even if you vote again, themightyoil would still win.
You'll probably see who voted "no" with the new candidates.
