Really, Yves Todd was a huge success story here, we took 7 shots and he stopped them all.

That being said, he is injured this week, there have been reports that someone jumped out from behind a bench and broke his leg on purpose with a bat. There might be a Tanya Harding thing going on here... as now Honoré Hines gets his chance for fame...

As far as qualifiers... we need a win, which I am confident we can get. We are the home team, we have a really strong team.

Saudi Arabia is 2 points ahead of us, and they are playing Brazil. Brazil has won 4 games, so it looks good, we'll just have to wait for Saturday.

I mean... Pemberton is like a grandfather to all of us... a legend, we do all look up to the old guy, but I think he'd get along better in the ol' timers game.

Do you know if the energy reset in the qualifying at the start of next season? Since qualifying does continue onto next season, and energy is separate in the national team than your club team, it makes sense that the energy loss will carry over right?

If so, we might end up looking pretty good in the second round of qualifying, all because of that one very low game, could end up being the difference!

If 23 is an ol' timer I'm screwed haha. I hear ya. He's certainly stepped it up this season. The whole defensive core has. Head and shoulders improvement over last season. With my >11s getting better I'll be able to rotate them through even more and hopefully get some solid games in. But this is the NT thread.

I've got a few more gems coming up the ranks. They're well behind on OR but with 80+ AQ (86+ EQ) and level 14+ training they should catch up in good time.

Good point! I believe it does carry over. I'll find out officially. If that's the case everyone playing Very High could play right into our hands for the second round.

Hmm, vlady should add that to the guide then, all it has in it is:

"The seasonal energy of players in the national team is independent from the seasonal energy in their club and it decreases according to the following table "

Ya, that's why I thought it wasn't clear, but then when you look at Team Canada's calendar, half of the qualifying games are in "Season 5" calendar, and the other half are in "Season 6" Calendar. So NT seasons still are the same as club seasons...

I still think they should change that after these qualifiers are over so NT season's are independent of club seasons, makes sense if you are going to have separate energy.

From the ppm news. Quote:
"The qualifiers begin on October 22 which is week 8 of the season. The first half will be played this season on 6 consecutive Saturdays. The second half will take place next season again from week 8 to week 13. The World Cup itself will be played in the final week of season 6."
Nobody ever mention NT season, so energy will be reset at the start of the next regular season.
