Ok, you know better then anyone else here. Just go and do whatever you want since you don't want to listen to anyone. I don't see you want to cooperate.
Just want to tell you something and I wont bother you anymore.
After 10 games Canada, one of the strongest team in the world has only 2 wins and scored only 4 goals, how? Did you ask yourself that question? I guessed not, well I will tell you why. Even before the qualify for the WC started you played with the same tactic, almost the same line-up and I guess you don't even check the other team before the game to see where do they have the strong points.
You said you want to see how the current tactics faired against a weaker opponent. Well I wont call USA a weak opponent, they beat Germany and Turkey in qualify.
To compare soccer with some card games it's insane. BTW you had 6 games before the qualify started with not such a great results and you didnt change much.

When we played the friendlies before the qualifiers some of the teams played low or normal. We aren't going to score many goals against teams playing that during friendlies. I am okay with that.
We did try different tactics if you watched. We also had a different lineup on once.. just slightly different.
I am playing the same guys right now because no team is at full chemistry. And if for season 2 we want a full chem, we have to play mostly the same people.
You can accuse me of not wanting to cooperate, that is fine. I asked everyone to suggest players to put on the team, and I answered, and added most of the ones people suggested, even in the case of Brody I was dead wrong, I had not seen his stats since the previous season, and I admitted that did I not?
When it comes to tactics, I am going to play more what I think works. People suggest the opposite things sometimes, I can't cooperate with both. Only a small few are vocal publicly about their suggestions, which is fine, I can handle that, just don't assume you have the only opinion.
I didn't compare soccer to cards, I compared a simulation game - which comes down to a set of rules and chance - to cards.
You seem angry, do you think it's impossible to lose even with the best team? Or is it just particular suggestions I have not followed that you want to see? Like I said, I've had people suggest the opposite things to me. And if you just want to see some change, it will happen, this week, I explained why I thought I should wait. You can disagree with me, and maybe that's frustrating because I get to ultimately pick. Next time you run for NT GM, I will personally vote for you (no sarcasm).

I agree with Ketch on running with the players that will be on the World Cup squad in order to achieve the highest possible chemistry for those players.
I can understand the same lineup being played for team chemistry. But I think many of us expected us to be a little more dominant as opposed to last in our group. We still have time to make it up. But we're in a hole. I think re-evaluating our tactics may help. Slavko IS the 1st place team in 1.1 and I'm sure his inputs are as valuable as everyone else.
We all want what's best for the country's NT program so we just need to cool down. It may be a bit difficult for some of us to evaluate tactics because we don't have the exact player stats. But based on positioning and previous games, we may want to mix up some tactics.
Instead of Possession Football, try Long Ball. We need to play a bit more desperate at this stage to make up for our differential and score anyways. Hurry up is fine with Long Ball. I tend to see people (and myself) play Delay Play with Possession Football because you're trying to retain possession so you want to play at your own pace. So PF+HU seems a bit contradictory. I also fine that Sometimes using Offside Traps can be beneficial to eliminating 1-2 scoring chances a game. But that's league play and my own opinion from what I see. Retaining the Ball and Passing works for Possession Football as you don't want to give the ball away. But I also tend to choose the Clearing the Ball out of Danger option as it eliminates silly turnovers in the engine where you try and clear but it doesn't go far because it's a semi-pass and they do that bicycle kick from midair and score. So I prefer just launching it away and maybe catch them off guard in the next sequence with our "Long Ball" forward.
I know I may not have the most experience in this game like you guys and maybe a bit of it is also based on actual real-life play but maybe a shake-up in tactics will help the squad perform slightly better. Who knows? We're at 0-1-2 and we need all the help we can get.
I just hope everyone calms down a bit and stop pointing fingers at each other. What's done is done. Let's move on and focus on regrouping and pushing for a qualification spot.

I won't second guess the tactics or lineup. The NT Manager has the toughest job--especially when the team is losing. I think that the lineup may work, though we could be more fluid in our tactics so our opponents can't plan for us. My main concern is we chose to save energy against strong opponents, to save it to play weak ones... to our detriment. I hope that we can crawl out of this hole, but there is no margin for error now, so I beg you, ketch: play very high.
A lot of people have shared what Yoshi said, and the plan is to do something a bit different, but not with the lineup.
The only thing close to a "slump" the game actually had was goalies in hockey, where from period to period their "confidence" went up or down... otherwise they are just as good today or tomorrow. So a real bad game for a good player means the coin flip just didn't go our way!
As for good ol' Rob missing the PK totally cut man... except I just gave this long speech about not cutting a good player... so I guess I should follow that haha
You're lucky this time Rob... get your boy in shape Skipman

We are playing very high next game, and all games after. There were a few games where our "easier" opponents had not played very high, I didn't want to come in at a disadvantage to them when we have the best chance of winning.
I really wish we had our easier ones first, then you just go all out on them.. win as many as you can, and then continue to go all out on the last 3 hard ones.
All that to say, it didn't quite work out as planned, and maybe going very high every game would have been better in long run. All I was picturing was, we go very high, and our opponent beats us anyway (see this happen during league play all the time), and then we get to the last game we could have won with 10% less energy... there goes our advantage and we lose that too.
Oh and one last thing, we have just been saying the team has been the same since day one... but we have changed a few.
Brody came in later, and Canuck's Tyson border fell behind so we changed him out. And the midfield is on the verge of changing... for some strange reason Friesen will not register higher than a 12 rating even though EVERY STAT is better than some other players... so weird.

Ya I just decided to bulid my shooting up. A missed PK on the INternational stage is not acceptable. Especially since it could have avoided a lot of controversy. I'll bring my shooing up to 120, then tech to 100, then I may even decide to train my shooting equal to offense and see how that goes...
I was joking
Nothing could justify taking an 18 rating off haha.
But more shot can't hurt at this point.

I think we'll take home a win tommorrow. I believe our strykers are due... Hat trick for Broddy, and 2 goal game for my boy.. 5-2 win is my prediction....

2 GA? Are we starting someone other than Todd?
