Shooting is 74 quality, so not bad, for sure better than passing. Shootig is also currently a weakness on my team too.
PP is excellent, PK at 71.19% is far from decent. I have 83.1% PK in a very hard and competitve league and I'm not very happy with it.
How important is shooting to a game...it seems to be the lowest overall category on every team (including my own)
If PP% + PK% >= 100% then you are doing alright. In your case while your PK is bad (sorry not going to sugar coat it) your PP makes up for it easily.
how can i increase my PK? i put on my best def players and i try to put on the ones with good passing?
In my opinion, and I could be very wrong here, you need good defensive players with balanced attributes (4:3:2 or 2:1:1), with moderate-to-high tech. I recommend 3 defensemen and one forward, probably the one with the highest D. Just some thoughts!
i am working on the atts unfortunatley most of my forwards dont have any D,
thanks for the advice.

yeah thats what im doing and it seems to be working out alright but idk because i dont have thee pro pack.
@reverist...hadn't thought of using 3 D-men for that. interesting idea.
@phareux...i haven't been able to use camps to train D on forwards. too many other pressing needs. but i figure that's coming one day. anyone have thoughts on that?

i haven't really gotten it to work for my team, yet. scoring is my weakest point. i try to have a couple good shooters on every line, tho.
in terms of shooting atty levels, i recall a discussion where someone was saying that shooting should be at the same level of your tertiary atty. so, if agr is your third atty (i.e. winger) shooting should equal that.

I was using 3rd D-man for PK center for some time and the result was no better than using 2 forwards. Now I'm using 2 attackers with best agressiveness (and consequently technique), so usually they are 2 wingers. The one with better passing is playing C in PK line.
Well I have a speciality regarding PP and PK lines, as my best center was a defender at the beginning of his career. His defense is 85, Pas 74, Tec 71 and Agr is 45. He is always a center in the 1st PK line. He is a RD in the 1st PP line also, but I guess he won't be doing that for long, as he doesn't train Def anymore.

I play a high tec/pas center on the PK and then either a high def forward or a good offensive defenseman as the winger, then 2 top dmen on the back-end. Seems to work ok.
Yeah my PK has improved from about 72-75% to 86% once I did that, but I also play D3, so...
Depends on the quality of the shooting attribute. Anyone lower than 45, don't even bother. 45-64, tertiary. 65+ secondary.
