well, I thought it was funny...
anyone out there have level 7 or higher maintenance center? By comparing my daily arena and facility expenses with what the guide lists as the daily costs I've built a historic record of my maintenance center's effectiveness in saving me money but I didn't start until I had already hit level 3 -
at level 3 we saved 6.5%
level 4 8.5%
level 5 10.7%
level 6 12.9%
it seems each level gives us a boost of about 2%. I'm wondering if the slight bump over 2% was caused by my crappy arena custodians or if the savings rate is going up at a greater than 2% clip - so if anyone out there with mc 1 or 2 or 7 and up want to contribute to the numbers I'd appreciate it.
On another note - if it goes up steadily 2% each level and ignoring the effectiveness of better staff than mine if you had a max'd out stadium, all level 15 facilities and built up from level 14 to 15 mc it'd pay for itself in 121 days. I had heard several people postulate it would NEVER pay for itself at all but it looks like it does, but only if you have spent tons of cash on other things first...

so to sum up something in a way people will find more useful - taking into account daily maintenance on the facility itself, the initial cost of building it and ignoring staff and random cost events the amount of money you have to be spending per day total on facility and arena maintenance to justify building a higher level MC (breakeven in 1 season of 113 days, profit after that) is listed in the chart below -
mc level payback in 1 season
1 $1,327
2 2,654
3 3,982
4 6,637
5 10,619
6 17,256
7 27,876
8 45,132
9 73,008
10 118,141
11 191,150
12 309,292
13 500,442
14 809,734
15 1,310,176
I suspect my math is getting loose here since I'm estimating based on only 5 points of the curve and since this shows my level 15 facility pays back in 113 days with a daily expenditure of 1,310,176 while if you just do a max stadium / facilities your daily cost comes out to 3,953,900 or so and the payback on that with 31% savings comes out to 121 days.

You're close to the whole truth here. MC without custodians saves 2% per level percents.
Total savings are: level*2*(1+eff/2) [%], where eff is cuctodians efficiency.
Savings were doubled somewhere on 18th of April. before that the formula was: level*(1+eff/2)

interesting. so extrapolating out the max you could save with 2 100-100 custodians and a level 15 is about 45%.
True, but 45 percent on all your costs will still be huge savings
But it looks like the Facilities are the only ones saving on maintenance cost, it looks like the Arena cost only limits the damage or chance of damage for the arena, but the maintenance for that stays the same?

Did you factor in the amenity costs of your snack bars and stuff?
The same formula is used for facilities and arena. The only difference is the value of custodians efficiency.
yeah, I'm seeing about the same savings on both numbers (currently 13.08%)
so my horribly incompetent custodians with their level 6 MC are about 1/3 as effective as the maximum facility with elite workers...

Yes, but they are far more than 1/3 as expensive also. You should compare their salaries plus MC daily costs with the savings to see how they actually pay off.
actually, they're far LESS expensive than the maxxed out guys - I doubt I'll be in a position to spend a ton more on MC for another season or two until we start getting facilities level 11-12 or until we start building multi-functional stuff in the Arena.
Will i as a pro user in icehockey be a pro user in soccer too or do i need to buy a new "pro-paggage" for that?
Well when you buy your pro package you buy it for your manager and not your team so I would assume that one package applies to all sports.
