He accepts the highest offer. What he is demanding from you is the home-town discount. Keep in mind his salary will be locked for 3 seasons no matter how much you train him.
Ah, makes sense, I wasn't clear on where the discount came from, thanks

why is this game so boring?
teams that never log in keep winning and those who are always on suffered. the league forums are sooo quiet.

Well, nothing wrong with joining discussions in other leagues forums that are more active. Or you can work with us National Team folks on scouting for players for the team, etc. Let me know if you want to help and we can surely put you to work there.
When I send my players to training camp, does a +66% training bonus mean a player who regularly trains at 0.70/day gets (0.70+66%=1.16) or (0.70+0.66=1.36)? I'm pretty much just asking if it is worth it to train an att with low Q in camp.
Generally speaking, and not going on actual numbers its always best to train up your low Q attys in camp because it shortens the number of days it would normally take. But another use is to train up high Q attributes in order to raise OR of the player before placing on the market.
It's 66% so 0,70*1,66=1,16. It doesn't really matter whicch attribute you train at camp if you want to reach a certain ratio. I'd train the attribute that the player needs the most..
But your lowest Q attributes are the slowest to raise, so training them in camp is the best way to make progress. That being said. I tend to keep my players on the same schedule regardless of whether they are in camp or not.
On the long run absolute trainings are what counts. And to get maximal absolute bonuses, high Q skills are to be trained. I'm doing the same for my NT players and their training bonuses.
All I am saying is if you are trying to keep your players in ratio, but one of the attributes slows you down whenever it trains, then training that attribute during camp will yield the best result.
I think the bottom line is this and all new people should know this, and it can not be said enough!! When looking on market or training your own players, never ever train one stat to far ahead of your minors!! This is something I ignored and I trained crappy players, ruined several.
What ever formula you use, stick to it!! I use a 2-1-1-1 on all my players but goalies, and have had much better success since I went with that. one point on this, imho when you get to 3/6 CL which for new people means they are getting old and do not train as well, training shooting can stop as it hurts your other 3 stats, and you probably are already training his replacement !!
Find a training program you like and stick with it!! I cannot stress how I dislike seeing these one stat wonders going for millions on the market!! Now some people might have the training center to fix these, but imho you waste a few season doing so and they juts sit there!
At this point in 7 seasons, you are not going to have instant success unless you start in one of the leagues that has all nonames!!

Exactly. I use my training camps primarily for this reason. Train their lower Q attributes. Although my current hockey T.C. is purely about increasing shooting.
