Managing the staff salary is a big part of the game. I have a handful of staff in hockey who earn over $100,000 per day.. i've had to stop them training or sell a few to reduce my expenses.
Yes,okay,but heck,isnt it a bit curious,that a greenkeeper earns the same as a manager?

I agree, but i guess having a static salary system for all staff is much easier to program.

I know what you trying to say - but I think it's just question of perspective. If you think that you don't need greenkeeper as you need coach - You can sack or sell or not train them. You can have expensive coaches, managers, .. and cheep greenkeepers and doctors.
You mean,less important staff shall shirk the school?
Well - I would never employ security staff with PHD - I don't want them to think to much when they have to kick some asses out of stadium
Staff salaries are part of an economic mechanism to drain money from the really top teams and prevent inflation. Another reason why they earn so much is that the facilities themselves are very expensive and good staff members increase their influence in a big way.
Well,in Switzerland the people are gentle. Except perhaps,the turkish national football team.
