To speak the blashphemous word... that very issue is one thing i absolutely love about Hockeyarena... the player profile/attribute and how they affect each line. I would love for PPM to bring in something like that.
i disagree - i dont like that as it becomes just a number to maximise to get the best performance.
I would rather more statistics available from games so that people could use them to try and figure out what works best rather than just telling everyone explicitly.

The one thing I do like about HA is the individual players ratings in the box score... at least you get a better idea of how they performed in that game.
True, I can see your point there. I guess what i mean is i like the "idea" of what HA has. It's not the best way to do it as it does become too easy to simply maximise a certain skill, but that kind of tactic system allows much more flexibility i believe.
still need to gain exp and chemistry for those players in case if some of first 3 lines get injury

I used to, but then when i realised that the lines all play the same amount of ice time, my weak 4th line was only taking ice away from my 3 good lines. When PPM allow us to set line priorities i'll play the 4th all the time, but not til then.
i now 4e line is not the best also my last game my 4e line get 4 goals against. but i let them stay because of experience and future planning.
Is the random distribution on attendance to games really this big?
I just played games against two different teams. Both teams are coming 2nd position in their leagues. The first team was from a lower league and had 10 less OTR, yet i had 500 more people to the game.
I just dont get it. Anyone have any ideas?

When you have to choose for only 3 lines, I always play with 4 lines and my 4th line is really weak!
Maybe for me it's better to start with 3 lines?

I play with 3 lines because:
1) players for 4th line haven't got enough chemistry
2) players for 4th line haven't got enough experience
3) when team play with 3 lines player get more exp
4) on friendlies I change one line and set there player with low chemistry so first ones (who was replaced) can rest and get more training points and second ones (by whom replaced) can get a little exp and chemistry

I better let them play 1/3 or 2/3 of the game
since by playing in friendlies they will never get enough exp or chemistry. And if some of your first 3 lines gets injured or even worse 2 of them? then you wont have any experienced player to replace them with!

I played 4 lines for the first 2 1/2 seasons. I dropped to 3 lines last season and it was not only successful but I was able to play high a lot in the playoffs because I had a 4th line I could drop in at any time without losing chem or exp. Now I'm back to 4 lines because I'm building up younger guys again.
I have one attacker with chemistry 90 and one defender with same chemistry. I think this will be enough

I'l always play with 4 lines.
First 3 lines have chemistry of 100% (and+/-40 exp)
Last 4th line has only 26%.
I'll play most of the times 4-4-3 in competition.
The friendlies I'll only play with my 4th line + reserves, always 4-4-4
So my weakest 4th line can grow till they reach enough (skills, chemistry and little bit exp) to play in my first 3 lines.
It's a kind of future proof
