Weee. Looks like I clinched 7th place. I have a 6 point lead and +15 GD over the 8th place Hornets. I *should* be safe, but I guess you never know with the d-men I'm running with. They do suck.

Also, nice 2-1 SO win for the Dummies. Both regulation goals were scored in the 53rd minute! That might make my last game of the season v the Flatulant pretty interesting

Even more interesting since my boys are in camp. As a result of the camp I restructured the way I form lines. Interesting to see if the success of that experiment works.

Last 2 weeks i'm playing with 15 - 16 yr old guys.I choose to move down, it's a first reason, and second - it is the way to get experience for a next season

That's sort of what I did. I think I made it up to 4th place for a day or two, then I started replacing my d-men. I currently have six 16 year olds and a 15yo in the line-up. The lone 19yo is there because I can't afford his replacement yet I'm hoping this pays off in a season or two. Or three.

Another good season comes right down to the wire. 1st, 2nd & 8th are set, but everyone else should be nervous

Boilermakers have the 'easiest' game against the PAnguins. I could see O'Bryant taking them lightly and stumbling.

4th place Northcutt plays 6th place Purple Cows. Which is good, because I need the Cows to lose.

And then there's 5th place Flatulant playing the 7th place Atomics. I would be stoked if I could win this one. That would really make things interesting with the Flatulant paying the Sparhawks in round 1. And I wouldn't mind finishing in 5th place

I expect everything to go to plan, with everyone finishing exactly where they are right now. But it'll be fun to watch.

5-3 win! Wooo! I'm up to 6th place. Now to check the results for the Purple Cows... Awww, the damn Cows won. I would consider both of these games upsets. Still in 6th. Boilermakers won, so they remain in third. That's who I'll be playing in round 1

Goldfish v Brooklyn - Should be an easy match-up for the fish.
Sparhawks v Flatulant - I think this will be a good series.
Boilermakers v Bombsville - You knew it had to happen=)
Northcutt v Purple Cows - Pulling for the Cows since Northcutt let me down today.

Okay. I have the tactics and lineup ready for you, Mr.OBJ Half the line-up is players who have been phased out for higher Q younger players. But for now they are the best chance to win. Although I think putting 3 pucks past Nicodemo in game 1 and still losing is probably a really bad sign.

My line-up is set as well. Essentially the same line-up as game 1, but with one starter back from injury. Hopefully this game is as exciting as the first game.

I've scored 9 goals against the Nico Demon. On 55 shots? He only gave up 7 goals in 11 regular season games! I'm actually stunned. I have no idea what's going to happen tomorrow. Crazy series.

The good news is, whomever gets the #2 spot will play in against a now no-name team from I.1, so it should be possible for us to promote 2 this year. We'll see how it pans out of course, but good to be optimistic.

I shouldn't ask this because I know I'm just jinxing myself, but wouldn't I play the Goldfish if I won?

Either way, I love being competitive in the playoffs. I haven't done much since I got to II, but a three game series against a quality opponent is too much fun. We've both changed tactics, I changed the order of my lines, I've made wholesale line-up changes, starting the better goalie that didn't play much in the regular season. I'm sure we'll both do something new tomorrow. Just throwing everything on the ice. I love it

I think in this playoff format, the sides of the bracket stay separate, so 1/8 can only play 4/5. So if you, or even a 7 seed upset, 1 seed can only play 4/5 seed.
