Not really, was only a few million more than I got... no real difference.

As far as finishing in the standings... finishing 9th in league 1 should be much better than finishing 1st in league 2... but its not. Problem that creates is that there is little incentive to go up when OTR is so vital. You're better off finishing at the top of league 2, then in the middle of league 1.

thats my concern as well. you could finish second every year in II, never promote and get more money than teams that do promote.

i'm pretty much with u leggman... 1-1-2-1. So i'm stuck with a 1 star for my general sponsor! This sucks!

I lucked out -- my "team negotiated offer" was a 4-star, $5.6M ($89.5M) general sponsor.

For the record, I'm 7th in the USA in OTR (265.43, though that'll be probably 20% lower tomorrow).

What jdevils mentioned is making me wary too -- I got creamed by the Yetis in the II.1 finals, and I had been debating whether to push hard to promote. In the *last* online game many of us were in, it was better financially to win in League II than promote to League 1 and demote back down.

Its gonna be a long season. Nice win J0J0. I just wish my only goal hadn't been wasted on a player that won't even be in my lineup come wednesday.

was going to post predictions but still muddled - the Americans and Jaguars have camps ending today and the Sea-Sides are starting one today so it'll be awhile before we know where everyone stands full-strength.

Aging went better than I anticipated - lost a CL on about 1/3 of my starters and a few backups but not too awful. Worst one to age was Pemberton who was 15 6/6 but it happens...

Two of my top players, who were 6/6 as 16 year olds (Belanger and Hugenin) have gone to 5/6 then 4/6 this season as 18 year olds... by 20 they'll be in wheelchairs.

None of my 5s or lower dropped, so I'm good with that. I lost some 6s but I'd have to go back and check to see who they were, which I don't have time to do right this minute.

I haven't been really active that much this weekend. Had a little cold and didn't feel like being around the 'puter that much. Just set up the lines after the camp and let my team go. Good to see I got the win over you nsblues .

Moreover, I'm going a little crazy with the offers you guys are getting. I'm getting a 400k/week TV deal (my 5*) and a 4 mill/week gen sponsor (3*) I was never offered anything higher. I accepted the TV deal on the first day but I gambled on the gen offer and still did better than what I got earlier.

I'm pretty upset though because I will be pulling in less than 25 mill this season than some other top teams. I'm seriously considering tanking this season on purpose to go into league 2 and get some money from there.

And I agree that it seems as if upgrading the HR dept is not doing anything. It's pretty lame.

You can make a very good argument that the best way to compete with the top teams is to go down and collect OTR, to get better sponsor offers and improve facilities. Sad fact, but true.

This is whats wrong with the system. It is absolutely ridiculous that I got a better sponsor than you. Yes my OTR is slightly higher, but I got that OTR playing in League 2 and 3, while you have always played in League 1.

There should never be a system that encourages losing. As far as I'm concerned that makes the game broken.
