I guess I learned my lesson about thinking "Low" was good enough to start out with - don't expect that mistake again, at least not in the NC .

I think it was a day of upsets. I won with luck my steady goalie on stopped 80% of the shots.

So I guess the game got upset at me for never pulling 3.5 star or less players (since they all end up being garbage) because now it seems to be giving guys 4 stars despite having unimpressive qualities.

My latest 4 star goalie pull has qualities of 74-77-68. All relevant qualities being below 80 does not seem worthy of a 4 star rating to me...

My under 20 and under 18 boys are in camp this week.

It's nice to be in 9th place, 2 points out of a playoff position in I.1 and with a positive goal differential, after winning 6 of the last 7. I might have a chance for one more win against the Salt Lake Karma Police. After that, I get to look forward to playing 5 of the top 6 teams in I.1 until the end of the season.

Same feelings a week ago. But then...

Wow, I'm in the quarters of Cup Winners Cup... didn't think I'd make it this far... might have a shot to win the quarterfinal match next week too... go me!! lol

Yeah! Clinched my first-ever I.1 playoff berth today. Looking forward to being summarily destroyed in the first round.

At least one of my hockey teams is winning, even if it has to be the pretend one. After struggling for 16th place the last few times I've been up in I.1 and bouncing between I.1 and various division II leagues, it's nice to get 12th, secure a return to I.1 in the first round, and somehow maintain a nearly positive GD.

Rather than spending a few hundred million to try to catch up and sneak into the playoffs, I think I'm going to sell a handful of veterans and use my 3rd and 4th lines to play more prospects next season. I have a good core for the future; I might as well start to work more of them into the lineup.

I feel the same way. My first trip to I.1... but happy to have secured a return next season!
