Subject: Question about Players

I'm thinking of getting some youth for my team. Or replacing some of the players on my team. Obviously, I can't do it yet because I'm still new to the game. But when I do, what should I be looking at?

Quality? OR? CL?

I'm assuming 6/6 CL, over 160 Quality and around 70? for OR? Is that good?

Just trying to get a good feel for this game. If you look at my team, can you help suggest who I should keep or sell? Thanks. Much appreciated!

140-170 OR players are good for you right now, and get good quality players over 70% AQ, and get players 5/6 or 6/6, 6/6 would be the best.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of basing a whole team of 15 year olds and building them up slowly. Does that sound like a good plan?

haha, don't listen to him.... his team sucks =P (No, actually, he is dead on, don't take anybody under 70, unless the main attribute qualities are very high, ex: if they have High OFF, High TECH, high AGR, and everything else is low, their quality could might only be 50 or so.) ALWAYS LOOK AT THE QUALITIES OF ATTY'S FOR THE POSITION YOU ARE PUTTING HIM AT BEFORE YOU LOOK AT OVERALL QUALITY.

Get good 15 year old players with good qualtiy.

What stats should I get for a goalie? (Or what should I be looking at for his rating)

Little advice here. When your team is new, you don't need to be going around changing everybody who is on your team. No need for that. The best way to make your team better is to use that money for facilities. Obviously a little money here or there on the market will help your team now, but ONLY if it is spent right. Many mistakes are made spending money on the market too early when you don't know what players are good and what players are a scam. I would suggest you perhaps reconsidering going for all young players but if you insist on diving into the market here are a couple things to remember.

First:
Look for players who will be good players beyond the immediate future. These players are the type of players whose qualities are high in key areas to their position. AQ is an indication but if a player has good Qs in goal, shooting and aggression that doesn't do much good for building a star.

Second:
Look for players with the best C/L as possible.

Third:
Look for players with good bundles. Players with high OR do not necessarily have good bundles. A bundle is what makes a player. Get players who use a 2:1:1 or 4:3:2 ratio or somewhere close that a little training will fix them up nicely.

Fourth:
With a new team players with experience can go a long ways. If experience is an option it can really help to add some veteran leadership.

Final note:
If you find all of the above, chances are the player will be expensive. When funds are low you are going to have to sacrifice somewhere you can't get a perfect player for little these days. But if you have further questions post here. Lots of people to help.



PS. You misused the terms quality and OR. Make sure you know what each of these mean so not to confuse yourself or others who read these. OR is the overall rating of a player, how good their skills are. AQ is the average quality of a player, how well he can improve his skills.

Okay. If someone was to look at my roster, how would you change it? Or if you don't change it fully, who has the highest potential and who would you keep/kick? That will help me in the future if I am to buy new players.

You just started so boot no one. Until players are scouted you do not know thier potential. It's the quality of the attys longterm that matters.

Upgrade facilities first. Training and regen the big 2 for daily player practice. Next move SA to level 3 and stop. You get good pulls as a newbie at that level. HR upgrades will increase daily scouting. But also effect staff pulls and and sponsor offers down the road. Don't buy players or staff. Invest in facilities this season. That's my advice anyway.

Booting players at this time is not neccessary.
Though you will start to see who trains the slowest.. if someone trains slow and is not a good player either then they might be someone to look at getting rid of later when you get closer to 40 players.

Okay. I have my Sports Academy on the way to 3. My Training, Regeneration, and HR is at 2.

Should I just spend my money on upgradings these as high as possible? And get my youth from camps?

I just upgraded my Training and my Regeneration. When I get more money, I'll probably increase my HR. I'm assuming get those 3 as high as possible!
