i have some doubts in training overall. it seems to me that (this season especially, last week
) if i train more shot than primary atribute i score less goals that i expect.

Agreed. Because they can shoot better, but aren't as good of player to handle the shooting chance

actually there is, but it is only applied in really extreme cases.
It's very tricky. Number of shots taken depends of players primary skill, but shot % is determined by shooting skill. Many managers want to train their wingers as snipers, but centers as playmakers, at least I used to did that. What I ended up with was centerman with high primary skill and lower shooting skill and wingers with good shot, but relatively low primary skill, as I thought that my centers will set up more scoring chanses for my shooting wingers, but, in reality, centerman wear taking all the shoots. The same goes about D-man.
I think, that the key here is to keep all forwards in the line with about the same Offensive skill so that my best shooters would take more shots than before. So I will try to train my centrs by 2:1.5:1.5 ratio instead of old 2:1:1.

I train all my forwards with high shooting, to ensure the best possible chance to score.
That's one solution to keep offensive skill at level, but Im hoping that there's more. If we keep in my what role does centers have in real game, it makes no sence to train their shooting skill just as high as we do for wingers. Im guessing that lines overall passing skill could affect shooting % as well, and if it's so, than it makes sence to train passing outside 2:1:1 ratio. Or, if a centrman doesn't have good pasing quality, I will train extra technique.
Absolutely. I have a few players who use custom ratios if their qualities are low for certain attributes. I have a winger with very low shooting but high pass for example, who ironically does put up goals.
D men, yes, but at a lesser level.
But it all really depends on my Dman's shooting quality. If a guy has SHQual of 90%+ then i'll train it higher.

So, I am playing in the promotion round this week and was wondering what the differences were in II (not that I'm counting any poultry yet)?
I have a vague recollection of seeing something here on the boards (If only they were searchable) about higher salaries and easier popularity gain. What else should I plan for, just in case?

higher sponsor (upcoming season only that is ... (if you can't maintain high expectations like that))
