It would probably help more if you trade off a few young players as well and buy a more experienced vet on the market. Since you probably won't be using all those 15-17 year olds now or when they mature. Plus the savings you make from cutting roster will help cover the expense.
120k*112=~13mil over the course of the season

What do you think about putting the date of birth in the game?
Imagine you have a great player from the SA,the last Thursday of the season... Not much longer after,he already have 16 years old...
But with the date of birth, every player would have the same chance of developping.
Would that be too much for the servers?

I've recommended that players CL changes on the day they were pulled and age that day to remove the players who are 15 for 1 week and those who are 15 for 15 weeks. But it would make too much work for the serves yes.
If you simply want to know WHEN someone was pulled it's in their player history page. "Arrival from Sports Academy"

Those four are actually the ones I desperately need to convince myself to sell, but I just can't do it since getting rid of Channing and Potvin will leave me with absolutely no 'original players', and Channing has the 2nd highest AvQ on the team.
I know, it sounds extremely foolish... It sucks that I had so many crap to begin with.
You're right on selling some youngsters and buying veterans, I probably won't be using them all.

You have to make the right decision no matter how tough. Take Boston for example. They basically gave up Joe Thornton for nothing. But in return freed up salary cap which landed Chara and eventually a Stanley Cup while San Jose has squat.
I've been in your boat before, not wanting to part ways with original guys. I have my favourites, I won't lie. But in the end, you have to decide if your team or individual player biases are more important.

I like that example
You've convinced me to get rid of the last two original players.. God damn it, I wish I did this 2-3 seasons before when I could've gotten more value for them and save 2-3 seasons-worth of salaries.
Thanks for the feedback canucks357 and andylin329!

how many originals do you have? i still have 6 in the lineup, and 2 more on the scratch..
and regarding on who to keep anthony, keep the guys that's going to be on your starting lineup, or the first replacement guys when an injury occurs. guys below that now and future.. dump or sell. no point on keeping them

I have 2, my starting GK and a LD who I kept because his value outweighed what I'd get on the market given his C/L. I also have another player still that I bought 2 months into the season. After that the next longest player I have was pulled/purchased over 150 days into the game.
I'm down to my last 1. I sold 3 others earlier this season. It hurt to get rid of some of them.
Ya same here. But they went to a good home, Kenora Thistles, and are performing well in the div2 ranks helping the newly promoted Thistles squad challenge for promotion to div1.
I'll keep that in mind... I actually compiled all of my young players' info into Microsoft Excel hahaha I'm such a nerd. It's extremely helpful though!
You'd be surprised how many people have done that. Myself included.
I actually had fun doing it, collecting data and sorting out by Effective Qs and such...
